very disappointed
Here is another perspective. Please take it as someone speaking from the heart. I wish in some ways now that I am 3 years post op that some one said ----- rather than diet ----- look at your relationship with food pre-surgery. However, I guess I might have still been in denial that I was a food addict. Actually I still am a food addict and will always be a food addict. Even after three years post op --I must continually look at my addiction. Some days, weeks, months I do well and others -- well it is hell. And in the month of January, I have been in hell.
If all of us were honest --- we would tell you to count this time as a blessing ---- because once you are two - three- four years post-op you will have either changed your head --- dealt with this food issues --- or GAIN WEIGHT.
Please take this time to get your head ready for what your body is about to go through. The surgery is not a quick fix for a life time ahead of disciplined living.
BTW - Dr Roe and his staff ROCKS. Believe me -- he wants the best for you too.

Its the ins. Companies that called for the 6 months program. Also I heard that the ins. Companies are going to add other standards you must meet like an higher bmi, also looking at your overall health such as blood pressure, and your overall blood levels and factor in your lifestyle and type of work you do. Just go along and keep doing what they want and they will let you have the surgery if needed.
