A friend who needs help

Hi! I live in Virginia, and my very best friend lives in Southern Maryland. She had a gastric bypass done about 1 year and a half ago, maybe two. She's lost about 60-70 lbs, and is now stalled. Has been for a while. She would like to ask some questions, or talk to people. In person, I mean. She can't easily be online. She can't make it to any of the Virginia support groups (she had her surgery done at Fair Oaks Hospital in VA) because of her job and the distance. I'm wondering if anyone has any advice? Do you know of any support groups in the MD area closer to her she might be able to attend? Thanks for any advice you might be able to give me!

Monique, there is a Southern MD support group that meets in Lexington Park once a month. Here's the info page - http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SO_MD_WLS/ they're a pretty active group of nice people. My friend and I travel up the road to the Crofton Support Group. Not sure where your friend lives, but if she's in southern Calvert, she's more than welcome to hitch a ride with us.
