Hi gang I'll take time to say a quick good morning before my day takes off here. I've got two regular monthly meetings going on today that I have to coordinate. One from 10 to 12 the other from 1:15 to 3 p.m. So that pretty much covers my day. I did 45 minutes of cardio on the bike last night at the gym. I did a 'variated' interval course at level 4. It's been so crowded at the gym (last night I had to park across the road in the lot at AACC because there wasn't a spot for big blue in the lot at Big V) that I just grabbed a bike and did my whole time there instead of trying to split it up with the treadmill. I did two rounds on the circuit at 5 a.m. this morning. I am definitely getting better at setting the equipment in the 15 seconds so I get my whole 45 seconds on each piece. I REALLY was tempted to do a 3rd round, but I really don't have time for that if I am going to get home and be on schedule. I may try that the next time I am tempted though. Even if it is just a few of the machines. I threw my bag in the truck with my gym stuff in case I want to stop tonight. Not sure If I will or not, but at least I am prepared. I was tempted last night to just go home when I saw the parking situation, but realized that was the wimpy way out. I stayed away from the 'picking' pretty well yesterday. I did have a few (maybe 3 or 4) Hershey kisses but that was it, except for my planned snacks and my sunflower seeds. Ok, time to get into it here. Have a great day. I'll check back later. Hugs, Mo

Hi Mo, Your exercise program is exhausting me already and I am just getting up. I am continuing my programs in the pool and in the gym with aerobics. Not as disciplined as you as I must attend structured classes and I do enjoy the water ones so much. The tranquility of the warm water, the music and knowing that you are pushing yourself to a more healthful life is enlivening. Monday, Wednesday and Friday is Deep Water Fitness followed by aerobic fitness, also in the pool. Tuesday and Thursday, I go to the gym. Thanks for your inspiration, Adrienne

Hi Adrienne I would love to do some water aerobics. My chief issue with the group classes is that they are at structured times, and those times don't fit in with my 'normal' schedule. I have other things that go on some evenings on a random basis and I can fit what I do now at the gym around my other commitments. Big Vanilla has a pool and I fully intend to try to start swimming one morning or evening a week at some point, but just not yet. To get to the lap pool you have to go outdoors (just a brief way .. but outdoors none the less . and it's COLD ) so I'll wait for warmer weather. It sounds like you are doing great though. Looking forward to seeing you on the 28th. Hugs, Mo

Hey Adrienne, do you go to one of the Columbia pools for aqua? I am a member (because of my work location - I live in N. Baltimore County). Are the classes only during the week? I wouldn't mind catching one if they have them on the weekend. As for lunch, I would LOVE to do lunch, but unfortunately I only get a half hour so by the time I actually got to meet you somewhere I would have to turn right back around How have you been doing??? It seems like forever since we met at the Farmers Market!

Hello there Heather, Yes, there are aqua classes on Saturday and Sunday. The Athletic Club (very warm sal****er pool) has 'Arthritis Plus' classes on Sat and Sun from 10 to 10:45 am. The Columbia Gym (Clarksville) has water aerobics from 9 to 10 am on Sat. The Columbia Swim Center has 'Deep Water Fitness' from 9 to 9:55 am on Saturdays only. The one that I attended last week was Supreme Sports Club for water Aerobics from 10 to 11 and then continued with Aqua Circuit from 11:05 to 11:50 am on Saturday only and Sunday was aqua aerobics only at the same time. Most of the pools are also available for lap swimming before, during and after, as well. Let me know when you plan to be there and I will certainly try as well. Adrienne

Good morning!! Well, Mo is off to a great and Fit start today. I didn't get in any exercise yesterday as I was at the hospital for dr. appts from 7am to 12:30pm and then off to work. After work we went straight to church. After church I wanted to do my abs workout but I was hungry and it's just not fun to do abs on a full tummy! I have my bag in the car ready for curves tonight. I am a bit sore this morning from the bootcamp the other night but I am trying to stretch a lot and work it all out. I have quite a few things I am working on today. A lot of catch up work and getting some travel info together. I'll be busy most of the day so time should fly by. I didn't do too bad with my eating yesterday. I had a few junior mints last night but I don't feel badly about that cuz they are not terrible. Still I don't want to let this cycle continue so I really need to buckle down and avoid all sweets. I am drinking some diet hot chocolate so maybe that'll help me get past this. One thing I hope is okay for me to share and say here...I am really quite happy with how my body looks (in clothes) and how I feel. I mean, I feel like I look good. That is such a new feeling for me. It's weird to catch my reflection and NOT think "ugh, look how fat I am". I think you all can relate to that. (I hope anyway.) Now i catch my reflection and think "wow, I look pretty good". I hope that isn't giving me a big head. I think my struggles with not always choosing the right foods and my "bigger than I would like" thighs keeps me level headed. Well, have a great day everyone. Hugs, Robin

Hey Robin I am feeling the effect of my work outs. I have been increasing the weights on many of the machines and I definitely have some 'soreness' but it's not painful or truly uncomfortable. I am fighting the frustration factor that I have been doing the gym thing for a solid month and I don't see any positive results (the scale has gone up ... and I STILL can't fit into some clothes that I was wearing previously .. uhoh ). I am just going to keep up with my routine and not get bent out of shape!!! I think that it is great that you are happy with your looks. That is a healthy and good thing for you not to be putting yourself down. I am starting to see myself as 'fat' because I need to push to lose the pounds I've gained as well as the pounds I needed to lose to get to goal. I am not 'unhappy' with how I look, but I know I can look better and I know I can see the pounds I've gained even if someone else doesn't. Have a wonderful Thursday! Hugs, Mo

Good afternoon - Well, I visited the Annapolis office this morning, and got a quick tour of the city. Saw some politicians in front of the State House, visited Graul's, then hopped in my car for the 40 minute drive to Pikesville!!! 40 MINUTES!!! I also forgot that 895 is comparable to the Autobahn, so that was an eye opening experience. All told, by the time I drive home tonight, I will have put 100 miles on my car today! But all in all, I'm still thinking it'll be a nice break from here. We shall see!!! Buying my treadmill on Saturday, or at least putting it on lay-away until the rest of my tax refund comes in. Hope everyone has a great Friday and weekend - I'll post if/when I can!!! Stay warm!!! Sounds like pj and hot cup of tea weather to me!!! Mo, I noticed that at the Harbor Center shopping center, they have a PA Dutch Market - have you been? Looks like something I gotta 'splore. Take care, Tia

Seems like I haven't had much time for anything the past few days. I can't even recall much of what I ate, but I know I made good choices. I haven't been eating any of the wrong things. I won't have them around me so I am not tempted. It still amazes me that I am not craving ice cream. Especially during these tressful days I have been through at wor. In the past I would justify a pint of Ben and Jerry's because I deserved it after a rough day.... or it was to celebrate Friday... or whatever excuse I could come up with. Ice cream has alaways been my onus. I am going to go away for the weekend... so everyone have a great weekend. Aime
