Hi all! Sad day at my household. Son has left (6AM this morning), for the final trip to his college in VT. He graduates in May, but I won't see him again until the graduation. He's planned a cruise with others from college for over the spring break. This will be a longest span without having him home. I am so proud of him and all of his accomplishments. I can't wait to see what life has in store for him. I know that this last half of the school year is going to kick his butt. He's working part-time, taking over a full load of classes, working in an internship at the VT State's Attorney's Office, Civil Rights Division, President of the Semper Fi Society, etc. Very active, mentally and physically. He's been one of my best cheerleaders since I had WLS. It's been really great to see his face light up every time he sees me and the progress that I've made. The others saw me everyday, but his sightings were just every now and then. After graduation, onto Quantico. Watch out Marine Corp. I'll keep you'll updated. TraciL

Tracy, I don't have children, but reading your post made me tear up. I think we can all relate to feelings of love and accomplishment for those in our immediate family. Your son sounds like a wonderful young man who is worthy of the pride you so obviously feel. He sounds like he'll go far Take Care, Terry

Aww Traci. My youngest son is finishing up his early degree work at CCBC this year. He has been living with me since last summer which has been a treasure for me. My kids lived with their dad after my divorce which was a pain very hard to handle. Geoff is planning to go away to finish his education. I almost wish he would change his mind and choose a school where he can commute from here. I know the experience would be so good for him to go away to school for awhile. He will be 21 on Feb. 1. He is so active on campus. Classes, working 2 jobs (one as a waiter at a country club- the other as a teaching assistant on campus), is involved with the dean, and president of the Christian club and the Spec Ed club. I rarely see him even though he is here except late at night when he gets home and will come to tell me some about his day if I am still awake. to both of us for having such sons. You have my virtual hug and . Aime
