Last minute shopping trip

Hello, I am having lap band surgery on monday with Dr. Singh and am preparing my final list of things to get at the store while i am recuperating. Is there anything that I should take with me to the hospital or have at home that they don't tell you but you wish you had known to get prior to your surgery? Let me know!

Hi Natalie - Here's an Almost Welcome to the Loser's Bench! It'll be here and gone before you know it! The only things I took to the hospital were clothes to come home in (obviously), some shampoo (I wished my hair standing up at the sink!!), toothbrush, toothpaste, and some lip balm. I really didn't need any more while I was in the hospital. I know lap-band is different from rny, and I don't know what your nutritional requirements will be, but for me, I didn't stock up on much besides water, Crystal Light, s/f jello, pudding and broth. Again, depends on what "food stage" you'll be at when you come home. If you have any questions, please feel free to post. Hope everything goes swimmingly!! Good luck and post when you feel up to it. Hi Natalie I had rny and I dont know how long you will be in the hospital but I brought crossword puzzles. I was in there for 4 days and it gets pretty boring after the get you up and moving in the morning and there is never anything on t.v. LOL. So bring that or a book and everything tia said also.
