How long does it take?
Hi Marcy -
I remember taking it and expecting WHAM!, but in all honesty, it was nothing like that. I don't recall having to "run," but I made sure I stayed close by nonetheless. Actually, I was surprise at how little I had to go.
All in good time!!!
Good luck tomorrow and update us when you feel up to it. It's gonna be great!!!!!
Tia
Actually, it seems so long ago (17 months), that it's hard for me to remember. I think I did okay - lots of popsicles and broth. I was just so excited to get started that had they told me to stand on my head and drink clear liquids, I would have!!! It's probably nerves, too, which is completely normal.
Just look at it as a means to an end (no pun intended). I found that for most people, the first six weeks are the toughest. It does get easier every day, so take heart. Just be compliant with your doc/nut's rules and you'll be okay. After your surgery, walking will help with any gas pains you may have, and when they tell you to sip - they mean it!!! Just baby yourself and your pouch and don't be surprised if you feel emotional tomorrow. It's a huge step you're taking, but absolutely the best thing you can do for yourself.
We're here for you!!!
Take care,
Tia
