Hello All.. I am back..
Miss me??!?!? Well Officially 3 days later, I am still here!!! WHOO HOOOOO!!! Was alittle scared at the beginning and I made it thru.. Now I am just wondering if it is all worth it.. Did I honestly expect what I am feeling? Did I go thru this with my eyes open? (Please excuse the blog like feel to this post, just getting stuff out) And I can only say to myself, well toots, you cant change it now! haa.. Gotta go with the punches.. feel the flow.. I am sooo hoping that this pressure in my belly will go away, and I know that from talking to all of my wonderful new friends online that it will, but now I am impatient.. I wanna take a deep breath and not feel the sharpness in my lung wondering if its a stich from the way I've been laying down, or if I am having a PE and about to crash and burn. Patience has never been one of my strong points and no matter how hard I try to slow myself down I just get disappointed things arent moving the way I think they should.. I see all the great posts from people who have lost thier weight from 32 to 18 and think ok.. thats gonna be me.. just close your eyes and here it comes.. and then I realize DUDE, its been 3 days!!! These people have waited months!! Just who do you think you are?!?! Ya know?!?! Then theres the whole thing, well, I dont know if my stomach hurts cuz I am hungry, or it just hurts because its been recently cut up like a pizza.. Will I ever know the difference? Can I not handle this particular shake now? or ever?
Is this normal post-surgery blues or am I in a league of my own here? Unfortunately, I am seriously doubting if I made the right choice... Could I have tried harder? Not eaten that last chicken wing? Walked away?
Hi Kim and welcome to the losers bench. Everything you are feeling is normal. The post surgery blues. It gets better everday and you will see it. So glad everything worked out for you and your home safe and sound. Have a great week and post and let us know how you are doing

Hi Kim
It's all normal and you will go through several phases ... Personally, I was running a slight fever when I came out of surgery and I was delirious and literally screaming at my husband .. asking him WHY in the hell did he let me do this ... by the next day I had gotten over blaming him and wondered WHY I had done it ... By the time I left the hospital I was past the WHYS but not to the ok with it stage yet. It took a while (a few weeks at least) before I wasn't sorry I had done it ... then I got to the I'm glad I did it .. then FINALLY (after months and months) to the I would do this again in a heartbeat.
Everyone had a different experience. Your WLS experience will be what you make it ...think positive and follow instructions and it will all fall into place. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
Hugs, Mo
Kim, sounds normal to me. So glad that everything went ok and that your back home with your family. Let them help and baby you so that you can take care of yourself and your needs. Don't feel bad! Just take it slow and easy and don't try to chew off more than you can handle right now. It will take some time, but you'll be your old self again real soon. Keep us posted!
