How about a tea party????

Ok gals (and guys), time to chime in to help plan the next social gathering! Kelly W was kind enough to find a tea room (http://www.retrotea.com/) in Bowie and before I call to make a reservation, I want to be sure we will have enough interest. They are open from noon - 5 p.m., and I was thinking maybe mid afternoon - 2-ish??? or we could even do earlier and make lunch out of it and then browse through the Antique Depot??? I know that Tia will walk through fire for a tea party, but what about the rest of y'all? The website ( http://www.retrotea.com/ ) has links for their menu if you want to check that out and directions, etc. Give a look and let me know what you think. Oh, the date(s) in mind are Sat/Sun January 20/21 or 27/28. I think I am good with any of those 4 days, so how ever it will work for the majority that are interested. AND, if this is a BAD idea (the tea party), next on my thought plan was lunch at Timbuktu in .. ummmmm.. where ever it is .. up on Dorsey Rd. OR .... a Saturday or Sunday excursion to Bowie Town Center .. and lunch at one of the 'pad' restaurants there. We have some gals with mobility issues so we need to be mindful of them when we make plans. Hugs, Mo

Tea sounds good. I know my schedule is open on the 21st or either day the last weekend but still waiting for a birthday party to pop up either of those days. My neice's birthday is in January and were waiting for the date of her party. I will keep looking to see what date you guys pick Thanks Kelly

Hey Mo! I'm TA TA for Tea Parties!!! My mother and I go every other month or so to Tea on the Tiber in Ellicott City (Victorian Tea) so if nobody minded I'd like to bring her too. Either weekend is good for me at this point. We do have playoff tickets so if we win this weekend I may not be available the following weekend or whenever the next game is scheduled for. But for now count me in!

I don't think I can make it to the tea party, but I would love to go to Timbuktu. It is really easy to find, (right off the expressway) and the food is very very good, especially the crab cake (full of protein)

I'm up for Tea. Either weekend is good for me and I love tea. We would have a good time watching monkeys scratch so there is no doubt this will be a great outing. Count me in. MargieB
