Fantastic weight loss to start!! You are doing very well. I too went through cabin fever. I got a friend to take me to a mall so I could walk. Try getting out somewhere for a little while. It sure helped me. I started with yogurts and cream soups, sugar free puddings and jellos as well. Just take you time with it. Glad to hear all is going so well. Aime

Tereas, sounds as if all is going well. Congrats on the weight loss and here's to your continued success!! I was depressed at the beginning post-op stage, but came out of it on my own. Some do not. Use common sense and seek help when you feel you can not handle everyday situations on your own. The surgeon should be able to help you. Also, don't feel bad about it. Sometimes you just need a little help getting over that hurdle. Meds can make all the difference! It's great that you're drinking and keeping up on your clear liquid intake. This stage too shall pass! Things just get better as you go along. You'll go through different phases where your ready to eat anything and everything, to times when you just can't stand the thought of food or your so bored with food that none of it tempts you. Who would have thought?? Stay the course, do as your Doc says, and all will fall into place. Some food ideas - pureed low carb soup, cottage cheese, yogurt, mashed potatoes, string cheese chewed to nothing. Not much of a list, but it's been a long time since I've been at that stage and those few items are all that's coming to mind. I would check out Tooter's bariatric bytes newsletter, or her website for more ideas. Here's the addy - http://www.bariatricbytes.com/ She's done a great job of compiling essential info for the bariatric patient. Best of luck and please keep us updated. TraciL P.S. Don't sweat the little things. Do your best and continue to improve on that as you get further out from surgery. You'll do great!
