Plastics and Access Skin ?
I'm 7 months post-op. I started at 294 and I weigh 149 today. Started in a tight 22 and I'm a 6. I know most of you will say "you're only 7 months out - why plastics already" but I work out religiously 6 days a week and have since surgery. When I flex my arm muscles, they're large - but when I'm not flexing it's nasty loose skin. My thighs are thin with the exception of the loose skin which makes them look bigger. My stomach is flat w/ the exception of the skin. My boobs - oh goodness they need help! LOL
Is there any chance that this skin could go back still or is it a lost cause?
Megan,
If you're done losing weight and the skin is bothering you (and if it's hanging now, it probably won't resolve itself), I say go for it. 149lbs..darn! I still haven't broken 200lbs yet. I say yet, I haven't given up! I haven't been to the gym in about 8 weeks due to my Mom having surgery and the holiday rush, but I'm going this afternoon. I haven't seen you (I don't think), but I'm not sure I'd recognize you! If you ever see me there, please don't hesitate to say hello
I went for a PS consult earlier this month and I'm hoping to have a lower body lift in May. If you'd like the name of my PS, I could give it to you, I like her.
Take Care,
Terry
Meg, honey, you already look great! I know what you mean about the arms. My arm skin is driving me CRAZY!!!! I also have nice arms musles but you can't see it for the dang skin. If you can afford it, I say go for the brachioplasty! You've done a fabulous job and now it's time to reward yourself. Please let me know if you find a PS surgeon that you like and how much $$$ it costs. I hope to be looking for someone to do my arms maybe late in 2007 when I get the money together. Good luck!
Hugs, Tracy
P.S. I also have pics of my arm skin in my profile - they are in my June 14, 2006 blog entry.
