Lap Band Surgeon

Hi All, I've been reading all the different posts and having a good time with this site. I kind of have a surgeon, but not really sure if he is the one. I would like to continuing seeking other surgeons. I'm want to get the Lap Band procedure. If anyone could provide me with a surgeon name and number it would really make me happy. I live in the PG County area. Thank you

I would easily recommend Dr. von Ruedin. He and his partner do bother surgeries. Have you asked you rdoctor if they perform that procedure? Aime

My doctor performs the percedure. I'm just keeping my options open.

Hi Honey, Barry Greene was my surgeon for RNY and he is fantastic! I don't know the reason that you wouldn't use him but if it is because of insurance he can refer you to someone in your plan. Dr. Greene's program is very strict, but it is because of all the research he has done and wants all of his patients to be successful in their weightloss and to be in best of possible health. Hey there Honey. My band was done by Dr. Schweitzer at Bayview, but that's likely too far for you. One of my good friends (even before the band) had her band done by Dr. Greene and he is closer to where you are. My friend would recommend him. She's lost over 100 pounds and has done very well. I'm 3.5 months post op and down to 264 from 306. 42 pounds
