Well looks like we made it over "the hump" and it's downhill from now to the weekend. I imagine everyone is just as busy as I am with trying to get things accomlished for Christmas. How are things in your corner of the world? How goes the eating, fluids, supplements, protein and exercise? I'm doing good on everything but the "big E". I do vow to get back to the gym as soon as the craziness dies down some. Maybe next week. Have a wonderful day! Take Care, Terry

Good morning Terry Mr Mo was out with the guys last night so I had no reason to really 'rush' home. I was a little late (almost 5:30) getting to the gym, and then I spent 'extra' time. I did about 25 minutes on the treadmill. Did a manual course and varied the speed and incline myself over the 20 minute walk, then let it do the cool down. Did almost 35 minutes on the bike. I picked the 'weight loss' course. OMG .. that got me, but I stuck with it. It's a 28 minute session (without cool down) broken into 4 minute segments. You peddle along for 4 minutes at resistance level 1, then it cranks to level 10, 4 minutes at 10, then back to 1 and so forth. You end up doing 4 segments at level 1 and 3 at level 10. Then a 5 minute cool down. Between the two I got a good cardio/weightloss workout. I finished cutting up the fudge last night. Nibbled on some, but not so much that I was REALLY queasy .. just a tiny bit .. I fixed up the containers I wanted to bring to work today for various co-workers, and have about 5 pounds still left to distribute. I have to run home after work (before hair appoinment) and fix a container to take to my hair dresser. I should have done that last night !!!! DUH .. what was I thinking ... We are gearing up for Christmas week here in the office. A lot of people are going to be out. I'll be here because someone HAS to be. I get the time I want to be off off, so I don't have a problem covering at Christmas. Customer Service reps have to be here, and so do my cashiers, but a lot of the billing clerks are gone now until after New Years. Have a great Thursday! Hugs, Mo

Hey - Yep, I'm on the dangerous, downhill spiral toward Christmas, too!!!! I was off yesterday, I made 6 batches of brownies for KB's parties at school, and put together candy and gifts for 10 teachers/daycare providers. KB decided that she wanted to "gift" every teacher she'd had, since this is her last year in this school before she starts middle school. So since I couldn't really argue with her wanting to say thanks, I made goodie bags of chocolate covered pretzels and peppermint sticks for all of the former teachers. I made up a cookie tray for the local senior center that's serving Christmas dinner. Can you say tired Tia? I also made the most sublime fudge - made, with, of all things, Velveeta cheese! I'd heard of this recipe before, but had never tried it - now, I'm sorry I did!!!!!! Thankfully, I've gifted it all. I struggle just like all of you with the eating at this time of year, but you're right, in a good, weird, bariatric kind of way - throwing up is a good tool!!! Not that I'm into recreational vomiting, mind you!!! Well, today promises to be a busy day. Tomorrow will be quiet, although the 129th Academy Class is graduating, so that means brass will be in the office. Hopefully, someone will remember that I'm stuck in this office and gift me with the opportunity to leave early! Fingers crossed!!!!!! Hope everyone has a good Thursday!!! Terry, how's McMom? Give her a smoochie from me! Tia

Hey Tia Velveeta cheese???? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO .. I don't want to know!!! I've been having a rough time with the barfin' since the weekend. I've lost some of at least one meal a day (sometimes more meals than that) since Saturday. I hate when this starts because then I'm into the 'simple' carbs because they will stay down!!! I had a wonderful shrimp salad wrap on tuesday at lunch .. but nibbled a few chips made from real potatoes I guess and it was ALL over for the shrimp salad. Dinner was an equally disasterous experience when I chanced having a tiny bit of rice with my chili. Yesterday it was the chicken (that I can usually eat) on my salad at lunch. Today, the salad just has some bacon bits and gorgonzola cheese . no chicken!!! Hugs & smoochies! Mo P.S. Lefty sends a kitty slurp

Hey Moie - When I was cooking it, it looked pretty disgusting - a whole pound of butter and a pound of Velveeta, cooked together, then FOUR boxes of powdered sugar, etc. It actually looked like it was curdled, and I thought, "This CAN'T be good!!" When I was cubing the cheese (my brother thought it was hysterical when I said cutting the cheese, so I changed it!), I thought, "Hmm, protein," and since I liked it pre-op, I thought, "Why not?" ICK! It just tasted so weird!!! Maybe too processed! Anyway, the end result was the creamiest fudge ever. Most dangerous, too!!! It's a crying shame that bad carbs stay down while the good ones revisit us. It's a conspiracy, I tell ya!!! Just be kind to your pouch - maybe some hot tea? Poor Moie!!! I got really sick about two weeks ago - actually, the first time I'd barfed in a whole year!!! But I think it was my fault, I ate my Chinese food too fast. Even so, I'm not inclined to order Chinese again for a while! Hope your pouch gets its act together soon!!!!! Slurps back to Lefty and Beagle Sniffs from Molly!!!! Have a good rest of the day! Tia

Good morning. It's a very quiet day in the office. I think it'll be that way for the next week +. I have to say that I have been treated very kindly by my guys. They gave me nice gifts and thanked me for the work I do. It means a lot. I really do love my job! I too have distributed fudge to my co-workers, along with some lotion for the girls. I bought some german cookies from the commissary but forgot those today. I guess they'll get them after Christmas if they aren't here tomorrow. I still have some shopping to do so I am leaving early today to get some things done. I remembered that I have $10 Kohls dollars to use and today is the last day. So, I am going there for sure. I love their clothes and maybe I can find something for myself. HEE HEE. I have more baking to do but I am in no hurry for that. Only because I'll be nibbling on the stuff myself. I don't throw up but I sure to get miserable sick so I try to keep the nibbling to a minimum! I am going to Curves tonight for a special "Boot Camp" workout. I am sure it'll kick my butt but I know it'll feel good afterwards. I don't go often enough but I hope that I like this. They do the boot camp about once a month for those that want to get more out of the curves workout. I need all the help I can get! Well, have a great day everyone. I hope that the weather stays cold thru Christmas. Without snow it will at least feel like Christmas if it's cold! My friend has snow in New Mexico! Hugs, Robin

Hey Rob - Glad your office is quiet - mine is too, today, but tomorrow will be a different story. I'm so glad your guys were generous, I know how hard you work and how conscientious you are! None of our guys are especially generous, but you know what? After 21 years on the job, just give me a day off with pay!!! I'm easy!!! I gifted myself, too, with a bracelet from QVC - LOVE QVC!! Besides, now that I can actually "fit" into costume jewelry, I'm a jewelry-aholic! Have a great time at Curves!! Sounds like we all have the right idea in recognizing our need to exercise - getting there, though, that's another issue! You have a great day, too! Weather.com says about 45 for Christmas, with a chance of rain! Poo! I want it to be cold and overcast - you know, "Over the river and through the woods...." weather!!!! Tia

I just walked in the door after a very long day at work. We did leave a little early to do out staff gathering and exchange of gifts. The house of the co-worker who hosted the gathering for us lives about an hour north of Baltimore. I live on the southwest corner. I left early for work this moring in the hopes of catching up. I was so busy all day taking care of things that weren't on my catch up list that I will be doing some more work this evening. I was pleased with the offering at the holiday gathering. I was somewhat against having to contribute as they rarely have foods I can eat. The person that prepared the food was informed of my special eating requirements and made certain there were some selections for me to choose. The fruits and veges were so fresh and flavorful. I did graze a bit, but we didn't have anything to eat before we left the office at 3. I was so hungry by the time we arrived at his house. Next week will be my get back to exercise week. I decided that it wasn't worth beating myself up over as I just don't have enough hours in the day. Have a good evening everyone. Aime
