support group for LB close to me

I noticed everyone that posts here has had RNY done. I am having the lap band done and I was hoping to find a support group closer to Annapolis/ Arnold or something. The only one I know about is in baltimore...so far from me. Does anyone know of any that are closer to me? Thank you, Tina

Hi Tina, I don't know of a LB-specific support group but there is a support group in Crofton. We are meeting tomorrow evening. It is for everyone and any type of surgery pre- and post-ops. A great bunch of ladies. Kelly Wheeler heads it up. There are a few banders here in the MD room and I do believe that OH has a forum for LapBand. You may also want to check with your surgeon's office, they may hold one or know of one more local to you. Good luck and keep us posted! ~Heather
