The Journey has begun....

(12/18/06) - I sent the paperwork to begin my journey for a healthy life. I've researched lap band surgery for over a year (Internet, doctors, reading books, talking to friends etc.). The support group meetings I've attended have been very informative. My husband and I set in on the lap band and gastric bypass support group meetings. Not only have I made the decision, but my husband as well has given me his full support on the lap band weight lost surgery. My two nieces' will be having the gastric bypass weight loss surgery in January of 2007 and I fully support both with lots and lots of love. I would have had the lap band surgery, sometime ago, but the insurance company was giving approval for the gastric bypass only. The gastric bypass was not an option for me. I was waiting for my insurance company to begin approving the Lap Band surgery and as of 1/1/07; blue cross, blue shield has given the approval for (federal - PPO). It is a great day in the neighbor (smile). I'm on the road, to getting my tool in place... Peace
