Feeling Yucky

I don't know if it something I am trying to come down with or I am just in a mood, but I have been feeling yucky the last 2 days. I decided to call out of work today which is something I rarely do especially when we are so busy in the office. My head feels congested, but I don't feel like I have a cold. The congestion is causing me to have a headache. I need to call my doc to see if there is a sinus medication I can take. I also think I may be a bit dehydrated. My rings have gotten tight and I know I haven't gained 40 lbs in one day. I realize that you can bloat some when you need fluids. So I shall stay home and sip some nice warm tea all day. I hope everyone has a good Monday and week. Aime

Hi Aime, I'm sorry you're feeling yucky. I think I might have the same thing. It feels like a cold is coming on and yet it never has. My sinuses are congested and my nose runs alot. I've been chalking it up to allergies. I take loratadine (sp?) dissolvable tablets that dissolve on the tongue with no water. The brand name is Alavert. It helps some, but doesn't eliminate the symptoms altogether. Drink some hot tea, that might get the sinuses open. Course in drinking that we need to be aware that we need to up the water or other fluids to make up for the caffeinated tea. Rest and get plenty of fluids Take Care, Terry

There must be something about 'feeling yucky' in the air. I'm right there with you. I am borderline headache-y and cranky. I was tempted to call out today, but I have a web-ex demo this afternoon that I have to set up for the office and I'm the one who knows how to get it set up. Once I get to the office I am generally ok, and if not, I can always go home. Hope you perk up! Hugs, Mo

Hi Aime - Sorry you're feeling yuck! It's no fun, especially this time of year. Dr. Tia prescribes Christmas movies, flavored hot teas and whatever meds DVR says you can take. Lots of water, too, to flush your system out! Take care of yourself and I hope you feel better soon! Tia

I took something that is made me sleep and then sleep some more. I am feeling better since I woke and showered. I just finished a protein shake.. and now I'm ready for something warm to drink. Thanks for the well wishes. Aime

Glad you're feeling a little better Aime. I had a nasty upper respitory infection week before last and it took it's toll on me so be sure to keep warm and covered up. Something is going around. Take care and good you were able to finish a protein shake. I wasn't able to for four days...but back on track now! ~Heather
