Yeah, It's Friday!
Good Morning Everybody!
How is everyone? My week has been busy, busy, busy. McMom's is recovering from her surgery on Tuesday. I took her back to the surgeon yesterday afternoon and everything is going well. I also, coincidentally, had my first PS consultation with the surgeon yesterday. I'm not looking to have anything done until May, but it looks like I might be scheduling a lower body lift. I don't know any details yet other than I'd like to have it in May. I'd actually like to have had it like yesterday, but life gets in the way sometimes and ya gotta develop patience
I'm in a training course this morning and then I'm coming back home to work from home for the rest of the day. I"ll try to check in at some point.
So how is everybody else doing? Any plans for the weekend? How goes the eating/fluids/protein/supplements and exercise? I'm doing great on everything but the big "E". I'm trying not to spaz out over it, I will get back there!
Have a Wonderful Day!
Take Care,
Terry
Good morning Terry
Busy thinking positve thoughts here for McMom to be up and back to normal ASAP!!!
I'm still behind the 8-ball with the COOP project, but it's getting close. I have everyone's input, now I'm just putting it into one document. Of course, I'm stalled on MY section I have to fill in a few blanks that were not totally clear to the person who did the first schedule. I'm struggling with just these first 3 schedules and there are 27 total !!! ARGHHHHH .. I hope next month's schedule(s) are a little easier Of course being the procrastinator that I am .. I keep finding other things that are MUCH more interesting/important to do than the project .. which is DUE ... ASAP ..
Went to Big V and worked out 'on my own' on Wednesday evening. I did the treadmill for just over 20 minutes then another just over 20 minutes on one of the stationary bikes. I hadn't planned to go last night because originally we had plans to go to Ramshead OnStage. The plans were canceled, so I thought I might go home and change and go back out, but I got sucked into the sitting down with Mr Mo and watching TV when I walked in the door. This is a good reason for me to pack my stuff and take it with me in the morning. I'm hoping to get up tomorrow a.m. and hit Big V for an hour to an hour and a half (though 45 minutes will work for me too). I want to be really comfortable with going there on my own then I will schedule my appointment to go over the nautilus equipment and circuit stuff
No huge weekend plans just our usual out to dinner with Jeff & Wendy on Saturday night. I've either got to shop for small gifts or get busy with my fudge because I've got dinner with my staff on Thursday evening and have done NOTHING yet. It's sort of a tradition that I make fudge and that is my gift to them. I don't have time to make cross-stitch ornaments .. so it's either shop or fudge ..
We have our department pot luck lunch on Tuesday next week also. I have NO idea what I am making for that .. another tradition is that when ever we have a pot luck I make my Irish Cream cake ... so I need to fit baking in too .. maybe I can do that on Sunday because if I leave it for Monday night I'm messed up with going to Big V.
There was a small group of us that have always exchanged names in the office for gifts. Well, this year I feel like we (that group) was railroaded into a bigger name exchange .. and now I have someone who while I know them well, I really don't feel comfortable buying a gift for. I will put that on my list of have to do for the weekend also!!!
I need to pick a store for gift cards for the 'kids' and go do my shopping for them too. We just buy for the nieces and nephews and as the older ones got to be teens, I started with gift cards. Now I'm REALLY lazy and they all get gift cards even the little ones. I know .. I know .. I should really have more spirit, but I just don't enjoy Christmas and the whole shopping thing any more.
Ok, I've postponed getting started on my project long enough! I'll check back later.
Have a wonderful Friday!!
Hugs, Mo
Good afternoon you two! Just got back from food lion and spent $132 on what appeared to be mostly baking items. Unreal!! I have three of my middle schoolers (girls) coming over tomorrow to help bake. They are also bringing two recipes a piece, so we should be pretty much baked out by evening. The end results will be a variety of baked goods! I know I'll use them for gifts. Bet they will too! We also decided that my 13 year old son could be the royal tester. What doesn't kill him will be included on the baked goody plates. They all know Monty, as got a big kick out of this. I'm sure "hormonal overload" will be running rampant tomorrow.
Terry, so glad that you mom is recovering well. She should be feeling tons better by the holiday's. Tell her she's being thought of. I hope recovery continues to go well. Mo, congrats on getting to the gym. Sounds as if you had a nice workout. Keep up the good work.
This evening, Monty is having his winter band concert. Should be interesting. I have yet to receive any information reference the concert, so had to call the school this AM to find out if it really was this evening. It is, so now rushing to get his required outfit together. I tell you, boys are the pits!! At least mine is with his lack of organization skills.
Everyone have a great weekend, stay on track and try to move a little more.

TGIF!!!
I don't have much time today. Busy with some projects I am trying to get some headway on. I just wanted to pop in and say hi. We have a couples Christmas dinner to attend tomorrow night. Should be nice. I have NOTHING to wear. Literally. I tried to wear one of my old really sparkly blouses from previous years. It was always a bit snug so I thought I'd give it a try. Well, it was WAY to big. This is a good thing but still a problem. The old blouse hangs almost down to my knees! I went looking at the mall at lunch today. Everything is so expensive. The only ladies clothing stores in the Gallery mall are Talbots & Ann Taylor. I could possibly fit their clothes but I am not willing to pay those prices. Ann Taylor had a really cute dress on sale for $80 (still really high for my budget) but it was sleeveless and I am a bit self-conscience about my arms. They are all flappy and my stretch marks are really wrinkly and just UGH! So I didn't even try it on. I don't know what I will do. I just won't have anything Christmasy to wear.
It's one of those weeks where I am feeling bad about my body. I don't know why I go through this. I know that part of it is a distorted body image from years of self hating and negative thought. I went to the gym yesterday and in their full length mirrors I saw myself walking. Well, I can't stand the giggle of these hips/thighs. I really don't like my thighs at all. And I have no boobs to speak of. I have to stuff all the loose skin into a D cup (which is still a bit big) but believe me, they aren't nice looking at all. Oh well, next week I'll feel better about myself I am sure.
Well, I am off to get train tickets for my boss. Have a great weekend everyone. I hope to get a chance to read all the posts this weekend. Oh, Stephanies induction into the National Honor Society was really nice. We took lots of pictures. We are so proud of her.
Hugs, Robin
I am going to decorate this weekend. My youngest son told me today that he wants to put up a real tree. His church has some deal with a tree farm so that the tress are only around $15. I told him fine as long as he got in the attic to get the Christmas stuff down.
I really need to do some shopping. I have purchased not one gift as yet. I have been looking in catalogs etc, but just haven't bitten the bullet. I also want to get out so that I can get some more walking in. It is so hard when it is so cold. I just want to stay wrapped up in my nice warm robe. I did go and walk Arundel Mills last night. That brouhgt my walking to nearly 5 miles yesterday. That is my best since my surgery. I had to go out to schools today for audits. I made an effort to park a little farther away so I would have to walk farther to enter the buildings. A small effort though, because it was so cold.
I think I have avoided baking also. I don't want to dip my finger in to taste like I would have in the past. Also, I have one receipe that is to die for that I won't be able to taste at all. I can't modify the ingredients to include sugar free products. sigh... They are so good.
I hope everyone has a great weekend.
