How is everyone today? Can't get over how warm it is out. I'll take it! (Especially since I've now lost most of my "insulation" and I"m usually cold..hehehe). How go the fluids, supplements, protein, eating and exercise? I'm good on all counts except the exercise. With my schedule these days I just have not been able to make getting back to the gym a priority, but I will do that soon! McMom went back to the surgeon yesterday. She's doing good, but still has that darn JP drain. Maybe next week it'll come out. Like I told my Mom, better to have the drain and have stuff be draining than have Lymphedema (sp?). So what's up in your world? I changed my living room furniture around when I got home from work yesterday to accomodate the Christmas Tree. Then my Mom and sister and I went out to dinner. Tonight I'm going to the "magician" to get "pretty"..hehe. I may do some more cookie baking tonight...I'm definitely on the downhill in getting that done. Have a Wonderful Day! Terry

Good Morning Terry. I thik I'm doing welll with my fluids, protein, etc. I go for a weigh in a B12 shot today. Again, I'm anxious to see what my progress has been, but worried it may not be that much. I know I am doing well since I can wear a size 18 now. When I had my surgery, I was wearing a 24. I tried to do some baking last night. I did manage to make one batch of cookies, but I couldn't find my cookie sheets or some of my standard ingredients. I was so peeved. I haven't made it to exercize much lately either, but I am walking nearly 3 miles a day just in my every day activities. That is pretty good considering I would avoid walking completely pre-surgery. Hope you have a good day. Aime

Hey Aime - Glad to hear you're doing well with your intake - it's SO important! Believe me, I can sympathize with worrying about your weigh-in - I'd like to say that at almost 18 mos out, it gets better, but for me, it hasn't - I still worry. In fact, it kind of feels like going to the dentist, doesn't it!!!! From a 24 to an 18 is AMAZING, so please be kind to yourself!!!! As far as the baking, I'm almost ashamed to note that I'm such an anal-retentive control freak that I start taking inventory in October to make sure I have everything I need to bake like a nut!! Just one of my many loveable qualities!!!!!! Wow, 3 miles a day, just from every day activities! I AM SO IMPRESSED!! Keep up the good work! Have a great day and let us know how your appt. goes! Tia

Good morning Terry Isn't today your birthday???? mmmmmmmmm... Happy happy birthday if it is ... and if it isn't .. well .. happy happy day anyway!!!!! I'm still at home, getting ready to head to the office. I've got a few things to do in the office (like collect my COOP stuff .. and leave the PC on so I can connect from the EOC). I have a meeting at 10 at the EOC in Glen Burnie. I've got my laptop in the truck. I might take that into the office with me to finish setting up my connection so I know that it works ... My meeting is done at 2 today, and I've got some 'work' errands to run in Glen Burnie. I need to pick up the excess computer equipment (CPU's, monitors, printers) from a satellite office to get them surplused. When I'm done with the errands I'll head for home. I should beat Mr Mo home, so I am going to risk coming home to change for the gym instead of taking my stuff with me. Got my nails done last night, ran home and collected Mr Mo then off to get gas in the truck and across the bridge to Kmart. I didn't find the holiday gladware containers, but they did have some cute plastic 'cookie' containers, so I got a bunch of those to use. Tonight when I get back from the gym I have to cut the fudge and get it ready for tomorrow. Ok, time to feed Lefty and get out the door. Have a wonderful day. Hugs, Mo

Hey Moie - Computers - ick! And I say that only because I don't understand them, they're just too much for me to wrap my brain around. Correspondence I can do, but computers....nah. So you have fun with that, 'kay???? Glad you found containers that work for the fudge. Is it a super-secret-Squirrel recipe or can you share? I've been wondering how Lefty's doing, sadly being an only child now. Hopefully, Santa will bring him some extra Pounce. See? I know cats. Have a great day!!!! Tia

Hey Tia A little late getting to replies here today! Can you believe I was SOOOO busy doing my COOP thing that I couldn't peek at the board today!!!! Well, I would peek, but then have to close it before I got anything read, much less replied to Lefty is adapting to being a real pain in the butt!!! He thinks the world revolves around him now and he's extremely vocal about letting us know this!!! Right now he's curled up on my feet so that I can't move without him knowing it. I saw an article last week about how cats can get Alzheimers and dementia. I am SURE that is what Lefty's problem is ... he is now a Daddy's boy ... after YEARS of not having anything to do with Mr Mo .. now he snuggles with him and wants Mr Mo to play with him .. go figure!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! I already responded to your other post, so I won't get into why I love you here!!!!! My long commute (in my eyes, anyway - anything longer than 7 minutes, which is what I used to drive, is long) allows me time (too much) to think, so I was thinking about this during drive today: Computer spam - First of all, we have incredibly powerful computers at work, so why can't they block more of the junk that gets through? Attention spammers: I need neither Viagra nor the size of my winky increased, so please stop bothering me!!! If you'd like to send me spam about how I can avoid the Carb-Devil or how to get insurance to cover plastic surgery, please, by all means, spam away! Other than that, go away! Okay, I'm done with that. God, I hope McMom gets rid of JP soon! That truly was the worst part of my recovery, and I know she'll be happy to be rid of him. I'm glad she's progressing except for that! Yesterday, my McMom finished our tree (fake - we're allergic to pine), and put our Christmas village/garden together. She did a BEEYOOTIFUL job! She's such a Martha Stewart, with a slight unorganized edge. I'm so glad she's retired, although involuntarily, because I love coming home to find her there at the end of the day. I dread the day that won't happen anymore. Tonight, I've got to help K get ready for her choir concert at White Marsh Mall tomorrow (in front of Macy's Home Store), so I've got to make sure the dress (sparkly red and very pretty), black patent shoes and sparkly red fingernails are all together. I'll leave work tomorrow, go to the concert and then go back to work, so it'll be a long day. But I've never missed a function of theirs, and I don't intend to start now. MOTY can't say that - bwahahaha!!!! Over the weekend, when KB and I were shopping for shoes, a salesclerk called me KB's Mom. I apologized to Kaity because I don't want her to think I'm trying to take her "mother's" place, but she warmed my heart when she said, "Tia, I'm not embarrassed, I like when people think you're my Mom!!" Awww, K's getting LOTS of presents now!!!! Then last night at dinner, B tells me, "Tia, you're the BESTEST Tia ever!" Awww, B's getting LOTS of presents!!!!!! I just love my guys. But they are available for rent, Terry!! This weekend, KB and I will make candy for their teachers, and I'm making meatballs and chocolate covered cheesecake bites for my bgf's little girl's bday party on Saturday night. On Sunday, I won't be going to the dinner theater because we have my cousin's baby's christening to attend. After that, Gary wants to take the kids to Valley View (again), and wants me to go, but I've just got too much to do. I've got fudge to make (Mo!!!), and presents to wrap, and I need to get all the teacher/daycare gifts, cards, candy, etc., together, because of course, as we all know, MOTY is just TOO busy!!! I've got more cookie baking to do, too, since I've decided that I want to gift the Essex Senior Center with some for their Christmas Dinner. It just breaks my heart to think of any elderly person alone and lonely on a holiday. Wow, I was chatty today! Must be the fact that I'm here by myself!!! WOO-HOO!!!! Have a great day and HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! Tia
