Good Morning Everybody! Happy Hump Day! Just wanted to buzz in here and let everybody know that my Mom is doing good. She came through her second surgery yesterday like a champ. She's here at home and being a good girl (taking her meds and not doing too much). She's a tough one, so I suspect within a few days she'll be bouncing back. I'm doing good. Eating/Fluids/Supplements and Protein are all good. I've managed to lose a few lbs that I gained over the past few weeks. I'm still hoping that I'll step on that scale one day and it'll say "1-9-something rather than 201-205. I haven't been to the gym lately, but I'm not going to beat myself up over it. I will get back to it. Mo, I hope your second session goes better I think Tia and her Mom are off to NYC today. I hope they have a wonderful time. So what's up with everybody else? How goes everything? Well I've got to get myself together and get into the office for a bit today. I'll try to check back in here when I get back home later today. Have a Wonderful Day! Take Care, Terry

Morning Terry That's great news about McMom. I can't wait til the next time she can join us for an outing The 2nd session actually went quite well. As it turns out, I had the SAME trainer that I had the for the assessment, but it went much better last night. They are in the midst of changing how they do things so I think that explains why I was sort of turned off by the assessment. I told him last night I wanted to see the cardio equipment and how to use them so that I can go back tonight and do this myself. We did every one of the machines (even the dreaded stairmaster, that was really sort of fun .. lol) I've got my bag packed .. complete with headphones .. and I'm going on my way home tonight!!! I think I am going to wait a few weeks, maybe til after Christmas or even New Years to schedule my 3rd appointment, because I want to be comfortable before I start on the circuit stuff and I'll need help with that. Boss is out for a few days ... and I've got plenty to keep me busy .. my COOP project deadline is on me so I've got to put together all the input that the divisions have given me and get it submitted. Speaking of work, time to get myself ready and get there!!! Hugs, Mo

Hi all...yes, I am still alive! Glad to hear everyone (and Mom's) are doing well. I have been busy - they are closing my office down the first week in January and moving us to Arbutus...needless to say, my employees have not been happy and there has been some damage control going on. Then with that, I am taking on more responsiblities with the move...I am now handling the scheduling AND payroll for all of Baltimore... Doing good with vitamins/water/protien...just started to loose my hair a little, but not too bad, so I am going to up my protien to 70grams instead of 60, just to see if it helps. As it goes for excercise, Im trying. I haven't been able to make it to the gym since September, but I do find time to walk around my neighborhood. But now that it is getting down-right COLD, I may have to start heading to the gym again. As of Sunday, I am down a little over 90 pounds...that means I am almost in the 200's!!! My goal is by Christmas to be in the 290's, I know I will make it, I only have 9 pounds to go! That will also put me at my 100-pound lost mark! Two big YAHOO's will be coming at once.... Hope everyone has a good day! Les

Hey Les Good to 'see' you here! If Arbutus is where I think it is (and my geography is not very good .. ) that is some move for your office You are probably just about right on track with the hair loss. I think mine started about 3 1/2 months. Definitely keep up with the protein and your vitamins, but I really think the hair loss is inevitable. The good news is .. it does grow back !!! My hairdresser thinks that my hair is thicker, stronger and healthier now than ever. You may want to consider cutting some of the length off to lessen the stress on your scalp. I started with my hair halfway to my waist, and cut it up to my collar bones/shoulders and that did help a lot. Hope to see you around here more and at one of the 'gatherings' soon. Hugs, Mo

I am glad that you mom is doing well. Now hopefully she will recover quickly and begin to feel like herself again soon. Sounds like you are doing well. When things settle down I am sure you will get back to the gym. I have not been doing well with my exercise or eating. I seem to swing to two sides of the pendulum. I have not been eating the past almost two weeks. (Before Thanksgiving I couldn't stop eating.) I have been feeling it too. My blood sugar has bounced all around (I don't have diabetes but probably have hypoglycemia). I know its because I am not getting enough calories or protein. I have found myself not getting breakfast until its almost time for lunch. Today I am on track. I am going to push to eat breakfast before i leave for work. Trying to eat when I get to work is not working out. I get too busy so I can't eat or if I do have my food, I am eating a bite every 10 minutes, not ever getting full but not ever getting hungry either. (grazing is not good) I hope that today is better. I just can't seem to get motivated to get out of bed at 4:45 to workout. I am running too much to exercise afte work. I try to walk at lunch but it's so cold and many days I don't even take a lunch so I am not getting consistent exercise. I am heading out for a walk today, in about 30 minutes. I know that without the exercise, the inches will not come off like I want. Besides, I really do have much more energy when I am exercising regularly. One day at a time. I don't need to be so hard on myself. Sometimes i need to cut myself some slack, we are so very busy. I am excited about the 17th. That will be so much fun. I am curious how they will pull off It's a Wonderful Life on stage. There are so many aspects to the moving, setting wise, that I am sure it's no easy task. Should be really good. Have a fab day. Hugs, Robin
