Quick good Tuesday morning !
Good morning all
Just have a few minutes in between meetings ... it's looking like one of THOSE days today!
The server upgrade was a success over the weekend. Of course, yesterday was soooo quiet (no whining and complaining) that we are worried .. Now we are on course for the software version upgrade January 13. I will be SOOO glad to have that done and we can start testing the next version upgrade and maybe get that in and be back up to date for a change
I went for my 'micro-fit' assessment at Big Vanilla last night. As much as I liked the gal who did my sign up on Thursday night, I didn't care for the PT last night AT ALL!!! I ended up not doing any work out last night by the time I was done with the assessment. I have another appointment tonight at 6 for my orientation. I just hope that goes better than last night because I am getting turned off .. and that is NOT a good thing since this is a 2 year commitment to them. After tonight's orientation with a PT (and this is a diff one than last night) I have one more of my 3 comp appointments left. My goal for tonight is to learn about the different cardio machines .. how to set them up, what I should be doing , etc. I'll save the 3rd appointment for next week or the week after and learn about the circuit equipment. I am hoping that I will be comfortable enough to go tomorrow night and just work out ... I have to admit that last night I was a little intimidated by the whole place and the PT did absolutely NOTHING to made me feel comfortable about being there.
Ok, time to get it in gear here. Have a wonderful Tuesday all!!
Hugs, Mo
Hey Mo.
The thing to remember with PT is that they're supposed to design something that will work for YOU. You need to communicate what your goals are and they're supposed to work with you. If you don't find someone like that, find someone else. Exercise plans fail because we're either asked to do things which are too physically demanding to quickly or we're self conscious about ourselves (body image) and don't think we're getting the payoff. Communicate upfront with the person tonight and hopefully they'll be more accomodating.
Remember Theresa's recent successes and try to work with them to come up with a plan. It's hard to start, but harder not to. You're already halfway there. I hope you can see it through.

Thanks Daniel. I'll keep that in mind for tonight. It was such a huge difference last night from the gal I did the membership with on Thursday night. I told her on the phone when I had called that I was a WLS patient/person and she was immediately knowledgeable about what I had gone through so when we met on Thursday night she was great. Last night I told the guy I was a WLS patient and he hadn't a clue. My apppointment last night was for my initial assessment .. the baseline of where I am starting. He wasn't working with me on a program and believe me, I would have changed PT's if he was going to be working with me. Tonight is cardio orientation to learn to use the cardio equipment. I am going to start with that and go from there. I am sure that at some point I will invest in some one on one with at PT to work on a program, but I am not doing that until I am comfortable with my surroundings. I tend to get overwhelmed by things.
Thanks for the support,
Hugs, Mo
Hi Mo.
Just a quick hello. I hope tonight goes better for you. It's never a good thing to not like a place after you have signed a contract! I just signed up for our gym here at work so I can hopefully get in a good 30 minutes on the eliptical 3 days a week. I don't like the cold so I talk myself out of going for walks, now I have no excuse.
Super busy with meetings all day here today. I had better run.
Hugs, Robin
