My Little WOW Moment

GM Everybody! I had a little WOW moment that I wanted to share. Yesterday I went into Fashion Bug to look for a pair of brown denims/corduroy pants. Out of habit, I went to the plus size side. I didn't find anything there that was what I wanted. So I started to leave. Then I figured, I would check out the misses side of the store. I go over and find the exact kind of pants I was looking for (brown cords). I thumbed through the racks hoping find a Size 16. Yes, I have been wearing a size large (12-14) denim legging from the misses section in Wal-Mart, but those have an elasticized (say that 3 x's fast early on a Sunday AM...hehehe) waistband, so I figured I would go with the Size 16 due to my panni. Well...they didn't have a 16. But wait...they had a Size 14. I thought, these things will never fit me. So I head toward the fitting room...and lo and behold...they fit me perfect!!!!...I stood in the fitting room with tears in my eyes. I've NEVER been able to wear a straight Size 14 (with no elastic in the waist). When I was growing up I got most/all of my clothes in the Sears Chubby Dept. and when I outgrew them, I think my smallest at the old Lane Bryant (old sizing) was a Size 15. I'm not sure I understand this because I have not lost any weight since early July. I haven't been to the gym at all the past two weeks with caring for my Mom and I stepped on the scale this morning and I've gained 3lbs (I'm not worried, I'm still within the +/-5lbs that I'm allowing myself (but barely)..hehe. Anyway, I just had to post about the Size14 pair of pants...that made my weekend! For those traveling today, I'm praying for an easy trip and a safe return ps - Mom is coming along nicely..(slowly but surely). Have a Great Day! Terry

Oh Terry, that is so marvelous for you. I am sharing in your delight and just think, "No more plus size departments for me!." Congratulations and please save some of those new found clothes on the racks for us behind you. Adrienne

Terry- That is wonderful. Congrats on your wow moment. I am going threw the same thing. Clothes don't fit anymore and I love it but i still have to order my clothes from lane bryant catalog. I think I need to go to Fashion bug and try there clothes on and see. It is hard ordering clothes especially when your size is constintly changing. But once I can go to a store i think it will be easier. But i am so happy for you. Glad your mom is doing good. Have a great rest of the weekend Kelly

I can relate to how you feel exactly. My sister gave me a huge bag of clothes that I picked up on my way to my mom's. Most of the pants were a size 18 so I just put them aside for later. But she had some flannel pajamas that were a size extra large. I figured I would never get them on over my tush much less my legs. I tried them anyway. They fit! They fit! My new mantra is "size does matter"!!!!!

Hi Terry, I know this is late but haven't had a chance to read older posts until today! That is an awesome WOW moment! You look fantastic and I know that made your day.
