HAPPY TURKEY DAY TO EVERYONE!!!!!!! Today I went out to eat with my family (we do this every year) then on saturday I will cook dinner (my thanksgiving dinner). We went to a place where they had a Thanksgiving Buffet. Well I gave the waitress my restaurant card. You know so I could get the buffet for the childs price, she must be against wls because she said she was not giving me the childs price " there is only one price for adults" By this time I'm livid, I told her I wanted to see the manager, mainly because of her attitude, so instead of paying 15.99 the manager decided to charge me 9.99 for the childs buffet, the one that comes with the desert and she said that desert would not be included. The nerve of some people!!! So anyway instead of making a scene I agreed to 9.99. Well everything on the buffet was delicious and I thought 9.99 was worth it. Then when we were done, the check came and the dumb waitress made a mistake on my meal, she only charged me .89. Now I would have brought this to her attention if she hadn't had such a rude attitude, but I didn't and i paid my .89 for my Thanksgiving Buffet dinner. And yes now I feel guilty. Because now I'm thinking about how she must have been feeling having to work and not spend the day with her family. Also I didn't have any problems eating anything today. I even had sourkraught and nsa pumpkin pie/lowfat cool whip. Sorry this is so long. I had to vent a little. Lisa

It is a shame you had to deal with a cranky waitress. My son also had to work yesterday. He is a waiter. Some professions are by design ones that allow no special holiday. Thanksgiving is not about the food... it is about the people we are sharing time. I wouldn't feel badly for the waitress. That is her profession. I don't know how I would have handled the price situation. It is at the discretion of the restaurant whether to reduce the cost. I do think the waitress should have indicated that she would check with her manager instead of a blanket NO. At any rate, I had a lovely day with my mother. I am still here. We watched back to back episodes of The Closer all day. We had some lovely roasted Rock Cornish Hens. I ate the leg and Mom had the rest of the bird. She also made some roasted veges with a fruit compote to go over it. That was my dessert, for sure. It was heaven. The meal was wonderful. Even better I had no discomfort at all. I hope everyone had a wonderful day. Aime

We went to friends and there were about 14 of us. Dinner was traditional with all the trimmings and we had a great time. I had a bite of everything and was able to eat the dark meat turkey which I loved. I had SF pumpkin pie ( a few bites) and I enjoyed the whole day. I'm probably the only one who didn't gain weight (lol). I didn't miss out on anythying and like we all know it's about being thankful and not what we eat. I am so very thankful this year for my family, friends (especially the ones I have made on this sight). This has been a great year and the future is so much brighter. Margie

Hi Lisa- Sorry about the rude waitress. It is not right what she did and her attitude with it. You shouldn't feel quilty only paying the .89 cents. That was her fault for messing up and if she wasnt so nasty you would have said something. I would have done the same thing. My Thanksgiving was great. We spent it with my mother-in-law for the first time. I was a little nervous about eating but I knew to just eat tings i have already eaten. I made a pumpkin pie to take with splenda and everyone loved it (only my husband and I knew splenda was in it.) So it was a great holiday. Alot to be thankkful for. Well have a great weekend and enjoy your thanksgiving meal on saturday too Take Care Kelly

My dinner was great. Expensive but great. Took the family to a five star restaurant in Columbus, OH where we had a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. It was nice not having to cook, not having to worry about left overs and not feeling like I was the "stuffed turkey". I didn't even bother to ask for a discount. Just enjoyed every little forkful - savoring each and every little bite. I guess over the past three years, I have gotten used to throwing food away and not eating my "fair" share. Actually in five stars the people don't over fill their plates. Intersting observation -- hugh. Hope everyone had a great day. Debra
