Crofton Support group

Hey there. I am interested in finding out more about the lap band procedure and was wanting to know if people who are researching options are able to come to your support group meetings. I am just not sure how the meetings go and if it would be an appropriate venue for a person not yet set on a surgery. Thanks for your time and information. Have a great day. Denise

Hi Denise and welcome to the MD boards. Our metings are open to everyone and anyone. I think it would be a great way to get information if you are deciding to have this surgery. It's coming straight from the person who has gone threw it and your not just reading about it. Our december meeting we decided to do a gift exchange but you do not have to participate. This is our 3rd meeting and everyone wanted to do this. But we would love for you to come and hear story's. We are also bringing before and current pictures to share with each other so that would be a nice thing for you to see also. Hi Kelly, My friend Denise gave me this post to reply to. I would love some info on your support group. I had surgery on Oct. 24th and really need some support people to talk to! Any info would be helpful. I currently go to a meeting in Galesville but want to do another one. I can use all the help I can get. Thanks for your time, Joyce
