Quick Intro...

Hi Dave. I lived in the Reisterstown Owings Mills area for ummm ever. I moved there in '79 and then moved to the Irvington area of the city in 2000. My sons still live in that area with their father. I had RNY on 10/12 with Dr. von Ruedin at GBMC. My one month post op appointment is today. The last time I was weighed I had already lost 21 lbs. I almost backed out 2 weeks before my date, and then found this website. this is the best decision I have made in my most recent years. Good luck and welcome to the Maryland group. Aime

Hi Dave, Welcome to the board! Best wishes to you on your "research project". It's a heck of a ride, but so worth it! Nerves are normal. If you have any questions fire away. In case you weren't aware, there is a men's board on here if you'd like to make use of that board in addition to this one. I know that sometimes guys feel they don't have mu*****ommon with a bunch of "chatty cathies" (not that I'm trying to discourage you from posting on this board, we love participation from everybody because we are all in this together). Hi David, It is one heck of a ride and well worth it in the long run. I had my surgery with Christina Li, Dr. Gandsas' colleague at Sinai. It was a very good experience for me. I loved the care I got after it was clear that I was going to go through with it. Sinai treatted me very well and I would do it again. Good luck to you.
