URGENT !! CELEBRITY COMING TO SUPPORT GROUP MEETING THURSDAY !!!

UM University Medical Center / Bariatric101 Support Group is meeting this Thursday 6pm - 8pm at Greenbelt Marriot -Ivy Lane - Greenbelt MD... Here's the thing - We are expecting a CELEBRITY who is considering gastric bypass surgery with Dr. Fullum. We need you to be in attendance to offer support and to give testimonials. I would like to have a full house of post-ops there !!!! Please come out to support group and offer your support and encouragement. This is a great moment for us that a CELEBRITY of this stature wants to hear from us !! Hope to see ya there... VAL

of course, the question of the day has to be.............who is the celebrity? If it is somebody I am interested in seeing or supporting... I would be there...

Thanks for the plug and info but this sounds more like a potential media event and they want a full house of folks for the camera -perhaps the "celeb' is the actual news reporter... Can't imagine a real celeb coming to anything that is getting advertised on this board. A celeb can get more anonnymous support on this board or showing up to an info session disguised and unadvertised.

There will be no media allowed at the meeting and they have no knowledge as to who is coming. This person actually lives in the area and is interested in having surgery and asked to speak to pre and post ops, just as we all had an interest in, prior to making our final decision. I am the facilitator for post-op support group services and I can assure you this is a legitimate request. If not this meeting, hopefully you can join us for a meeting one third Thursday @ Greenbelt Marriott... Valerie

Rats! We have company this Thursday. But I didn't realize there was a support group so close. I'll be sure to mark my calander for next month.
