Happy Halloween!

Good Morning Everybody! Happy Halloween! How is everyone today? How goes the eating, fluids, protein, supplements and exercise? I went to work out for the first time in 2 weeks last night. It wasn't too bad. I thought I'd have trouble lifting the same weight as 2 weeks ago - surprise, I did it with no problem! One thing I do need to "fess up" to is my eating. I had mentioned the strawberry shortcake over the weekend in my post yesterday. I didn't eat any cake yesterday, but I had 3 small candy bars out of the "treat" basket last night. I feel so guilty! I guess I shouldn't feel too badly, it would've been closer to 10 candy bars pre-WLS. Not that I'm minimizing the fact that I ate them. I had just opened up the bag and the chocolate smelled so good. I intentionally purchased candy that I wasn't crazy over (the nestle blend versus the snickers/m&m mars blend that I would've eaten the whole bag of!)The other thing is the scale is showing a 3lb weight gain. I know what is accounting for part of the weight gain (oh the joys of being a woman ). Anyway, I want to be held accountable that I'm going to make good food/snack choices as we go into this holiday season. Anybody else have something they want to be held accountable for? Well it's going to be a busy day here and I need to leave at 3:00pm so I can go home do a few things and get to Tia's for the Halloween Festivities. Have a Wonderful Day! Take Care, Terry

Good morning Terry Happy halloweenie to you too! We are having a party here in the office (this gang will use ANY excuse to eat and party). We have an assortment of costumes .. some more elaborate than others. I used today as an excuse to wear jeans .. I've got on jeans and a denim vest and my red boots .. someone promised to bring me in a red cowgirl hat .. I'm with you on the accountable thing. I've gained about 10 pounds and it's finally caught up with my clothing and things are not fitting the way they should .. so I've got to get back to more appropriate choices and exercise!!! Have a wonderful day and enjoy your time at Tia's tonight! Hugs, Mo

Good morning! Accountability...it really is a good thing, but a difficult thing as well. I need to be held accountable for 1) eating, 2) water. I have been eating those mini candies, 5 or 6 spread out throughout the day. That is only like 80 calories but I really don't need to be eating them at all. I spread it out so that I don't get sick off of the sugar. Funny how we figure out ways to get to eat what we want. Ok, not so funny but we are a creative people. I need to just not eat that stuff. (one thing I will say I am doing well is not eating the Girl Scout cookies I have in my house, I have had like 3 since I got them over a week ago and I don't even want them, yay!) The other thing, WATER...I never get in all my water. Yesterday I didn't drink a thing until about 4 PM, I had one bottle of water. I had another glass of water at home but I know I didn't even get 32 ounces in all day. This is a daily battle for me. I must force myself to drink more. I am off to a good start today, already getting in over 16 ounces. We are giving out candy tonight. Don't really do halloween but we volunteered to be a host home for our church. Several of our families are setting up tables, lights and all to give out candy for the kiddies and hot chocolate for the parents. I think it'll be a great way to meet some of my neighbors. We just launced a new, exciting children's church program and we have flyers to give out, if they ask for one, just letting them know what we offer for our kids at church. My kiddos are probably going to hang out at the mall with friends or perhaps go and do a little candy searching on our street. Terry, I am sure that you and Tia will have lots of fun tonight. I enjoy seeing all the kids dressed up. I'm glad for you that you got back to the gym. It's hard after missing a few days. I missed several days due to being sick. But I made it out of bed this AM to get in my strength training. Hopefully a walk is in my future at lunch time. Have a spectacular day! Hugs, Robin

We had a halloween office party this morning. I knew they were having bagels and donuts so I stopped for a coffee and an egg mcmuffin (tossed 1/2 the bread) and had that instead. Found out they had fruit and cheese too so I ate a little fruit and a couple of cheese cubes. I avoided everything else Tonight we are taking Kylie out trick or treating, she's going to be 2. We really just want her to see the other people, the decorations and the jack-o-lanterns. Oh and btw, someone visited my house in the middle of the night to smash my pumpkins, but the dog scared them off. My big beautiful pumpkin got dropped on my porch and split open. It was gorgeous. Pale orange with flecks of green all over and a big thick stem. Oh well! I should have known and brought them in! Otherwise, GOOD DOG ROSCOE!
