Good Thursday Morning Everybody!
Good Thursday Morning Everybody!
How is everyone today? I hope everyone is doing great!
So how goes the eating? How about protein? fluids? supplements? and the big "E" - Exercise? I'm doing great on all fronts except for exercise. I haven't been to the gym in almost two weeks. It's bugging me, but it can't be helped right now. I'm hoping to get there on Saturday morning. In the meantime, I have been no couch potato. I'm constantly getting up and down at work to go to the printer (I go and get each and every job off the printer to create more steps) and when I have to go upstairs or downstairs I take the stairs instead of the elevator.
It's been a busy time here lately. Between working extra hours for work, I'm busy with church and community activities. Saturday is my sister's birthday so we're taking her out to dinner and then back to the house for cake. I'm baking her a strawberry shortcake. I think I'll bake the cake tonight so I can put it together on Saturday. Tomorrow night I've got a costume dance at church. I'm part of a "troop" of wacky campfire girls. I'm going as a "glam" girl who's gotten into "Mommy's" makeup and jewelry. Now I'm hoping I can dust the top off of my jewelry box and find some tacky jewelry in there.
So what's up in your world? How is everything? Got any plans for the weekend?
Have a Wonderful Day!
Terry
Hi honeys I'm home
Walked in the door about 10:15 last night. The worst part of the trip home was waiting for my luggage at BWI when we got in. It probably didn't take any longer than usual, but I was impatient to get it and get home. I was TIRED!!!! The trip was good, learned a lot, met interesting people. My one real venture outside the hotel and convention center was our Tuesday night 'event'. We had a wonderful dinner at the Field Museum and were able to wander thru the museum and also see the King Tut exhibit that is there until Jan 1. Eating was an issue for me while I was gone. We had continental breakfasts which are not generally WLS friendly ... lunches were buffets and I was pretty much able to find something ok to eat. The absolute WORST part (Tia cover your eyes) .. the hotel/conference center proudly served Starbucks coffee .. OMG .. I REALLY don't like Starbucks .. to me it tastes like it was brewed through a 5 day old dirty sock ... so for 3 days I didn't have any coffee that I enjoyed. (Ok, Tia you can open your eyes now). Did lots of walking though even not leaving the hotel, everything was spread out.
I've got a day here in the office to see what I need to catch up on from the last 3 days and then I'll be out again tomorrow for a meeting. I won't know what to do with myself being in the office 5 full days next week ..
I missed you all and hopefully will have a chance to catch up on the daily posts from the week.
Hugs & smoochies, Mo
Hey Mo -
Welcome back! Glad you had a good trip! I'm assuming that you didn't come back to find that the boys had Mr. Mo duct-taped in the closet!!! I bet the King Tut exhibit was awesome - I see that it's going to be in Philly, so I'm thinking I want to head up there.
Don't worry, Starbucks is an acquired taste - you either love it or you hate it. I refuse to buy their flavored drinks, lattes, chais, etc., anymore because of the $$$$ I just try to stick with the coffee now. Last week, my First Sergeant brought me one and I had to put SIXTEEN, yes, SIXTEEN packets of Splenda in it to be able to drink it. Even for me, that's kind of ridiculous. So my secret now is to have them put in 12 pumps of s/f vanilla syrup, and I have to watch them to make sure it's s/f, and then I ONLY have to add 4-6 Splendas!!!! I am finding that I really like Royal Farms's coffee, but there's not one close by on my way to work. Opening my eyes now!!!
I'm off tomorrow (imagine that), and all of next week, so I'll probably lurk more than I post. Have a great rest of the week and weekend!
Tia
Actually the boys were standing in the hall waiting for me when I got home last night. I think Mr Mo must have told them he was going to pick me up at the airport We (the boys and I) fell right back into our regular routine this a.m. They were underfoot and I tripped over them right up until it was time to leave for work.
I have to admit that I DO like SB's chai latte drinks (hot AND iced) but when I look at the nutritition/calories in them and realize I am drinking about 3 days worth of calories in one drink, I do try to refrain. I grabbed a hot chai latte drink at BWI (non SB) on Sunday a.m. to enjoy before I got on the plane. The chai thing could become a habit.
ok, meeting at 10 that I need to prepare for so I'm back to work.
Hugs, Mo
You have email.
Tell Cindy I said HAPPY BDAY! Hope you guys have a good time at Carraba's. I haven't been there in a while, because the last time we went, I ordered the herb encrusted chicken breast and it was LOADED with salt, to the point that I couldn't even eat it. When I sent it back, the server rolled her eyes (not good for the tip)! Other than that, I do like their food, so maybe I'll have to give it another try.
Take pictures Friday night, sorry I can't be there, but I'll be cooking with my bgf to help her for her Saturday party. Mom & I are going to the "pre" grand opening of White Marsh's Boscov's tomorrow.
I sooooo can't wait for this day to be over - it's been a candy corn-shoveling kind of week!

Thought I'd give you your funny for the day. Last night, Mom, Dad & I were sitting in the living room talking about Halloween, and my Dad says, "Is that skank still coming over?" to which I responded, "Dad, you don't even know Terry, she's a nice girl!" and Mom said, "Yeah, how can you say that when you've never even met her?!!"
After looking at us like we had lobsters crawling out of our ears, he said, "Not Terry!! I meant Dawn!!!" OMG!! He meant MOTY!!!! Don't ask me why Mom & I automatically thought of you!!!!
Don't worry, I love ya, even if you are a skank!!!!!!
