Good Morning Everybody!
Hey Daniel -
I know Mo told you last week you look great, so I'll sound redundant, but you do. Actually, on a personal level, I was happy to see you change your picture from the backward baseball hat. I swear, in that one, you looked EXACTLY like my ex-husband. Not that it's necessarily a bad thing, he was a good looking guy, too, but there's a reason he's an EX!!!!!
It is weird not sweating now, isn't it? It's almost like I expect it, and then when I don't, it's like WTH???
Tia
Robin,
Thanks for your concern Really, I am taking care of myself and most nights I do get 7-8 hours of sleep. I'm fanatical about the protein and supplements. I've always drank alot of water (even pre-WLS) so that's not a problem. At a minimum I get 64 oz a day in.
Mederma works pretty good, but it's no longer a prescription (unless there is prescription strength). I've gotten it off the shelf at wal-mart . I also got another brand and I can't quite recall the name of it, but it was right near the Mederma. It had a different active ingredient. I've used both on my LAP scars. I have two that are kind of like bumps. I don't think anything is going to work on them, but I wasn't too worried because I figured plastics would take care of it.
I am definitely having the panni done first. Right now I'm just working to get through my Mom's mastectomy and reconstruction on November 13th and then vacation to Hawaii in March. I'm going to make an appt. with my Mom's plastic surgeon (I had been recommended to the same practice, coincidentally and really liked her when I went with my Mom for her consultation).
Make sure you get all your protein and supplements in you rest. I guess maybe it's the shorter days (less light) and chilliness that makes me not want to get out of bed. I didn't do bad, I was still here by 8, but then that means I have to wor****il at least 10pm to get in the hours I want to get in today. I would rather have been here at 3 or 4 and only had to wor****il 5 or 6. Oh well.
That sounds like a good idea with the yogurt and protein powder. I have that Any Whey protein and it's ok. They say it is tasteless and odorless, but I can taste and smell it (although it's not horrible).
Hugs,
Terry
Terry, I am convinced that there is no such thing as a tastless/oderless protein powder. I bought one that is called "natural" and ti was very nasty. Supposed to not have any flavor but it has a bad aftertaste and didn't mix well at all. I can tolerate the strawberry desiner whey but it too has a bit of an aftertaste. I have to get past the first 2-3 bites and then I am "immune" to the taste.
I didn't realize your mom was having a mastectomy. I knew there was a surgery coming up but I didn't know what for. I will continue to hold you both up in my prayers!
I wish I could do as well with my water. I am having to drink it without ice right now just to get any in at all because I am so cold all the time. I see we are all dealing with that right now (being cold). But I will do what is needed to be sure to get my water up to where it needs to be. I am not a coffee or tea drinker so that doesn't help me any.
Hugs, Robin
Hey Rob -
Yep, cold - I LOVE it!! But I've got to get some more sweaters, too! I think Fashion Bug's having a buy 1, get 1 for $1, starting Thursday and running through Monday. They had some pretty nice stuff, so I'll probably head there.
Wow! You really DID oversleep!!! You must've needed it, but there's nothing to wake you up like being told that you overslept by 1+ hours!!! Hope Steph's last appt. goes well.
Have a great rest of the day!
Tia
Thanks for the heads up about Fashion Bug. I like that store. I love sweaters and since none of mine fit from the past years, I am really working on getting some more. None of my sweats fit either. I keep wearing my old stuff because I have very few items of warm clothing that fits. A little at a time I suppose.
The extra sleep felt good. Sometimes our bodies know what we need.
Enjoy your day.
Hugs, Robin
