Say, what can I eat the first two weeks?
Greetings warriors of the Lap Band! I joined your ranks last Wednesday and have grown a bit bored of my liquid world--cream of chicken soup, lite yougurt, yogurt smoothies, permalean shakes and pudding.
Does anyone else have any ideas on what else I can get at the Food Lion?
Also, anybody have a favorite multi-vitamin? These horse pills I'm taking are blechh! Calcium ones too.
By the way, this hasn't been that bad--minimal pain, no tears of regret at Papa Johns Pizza commercials, etc. This just might have been a great idea!

Good Morning,
I'm not a bandster, I had RNY, but I would think that liquid/pureed would be the same. How about cottage cheese, ricotta cheese, refried beans. I also ate alot of pureed bean with bacon and split pea with ham soups.
Did your NUT or Dr. provide a list of foods? When I came home and was on pureed foods, I figured if I could add liquid to it and throw it in the blender, I did it. Now I don't mean to imply that I ate stuff that was off limits (like sugar, etc). I pureed a hamburger with some gravy.
Welcome to the Losers Bench! Hope This Helps.
Take Care,
Terry
I'm a bandster! Get in your protein shakes and other protein stuff first. After the first week the swelling started to go down, but I mainly had the creamy soups, cottage cheese, yogurt, refried beans, mashed potatoes and gradually added some other soft/mushy stuff. What does your surgeon recommend you eat and at what stages??? I did clear the first day, full liquids the first 2 weeks, but started mushies a little earlier than the doc said. He was okay with that as long as I could tolerate it. I really had no problems as long as I chewed well.
