I home from the hospital it was uneventfull except for the fever i developed and the retaining of fluids. Other then that surgery and the hospital stay was a breeze. NOW THIS SURGERY REALY HURTS!!!!!!!!! I HOPE IT STOPS SOON.

Hi Lisa, I am happy to read that your surgery was uneventful. I can imagine it is very painful but I pray you recover quickly so you can enjoy your new life and journey! You don't know me but I am doing my research so that hopefully I can have this surgery done too. Best wishes! Cira

Hi Cira I'm still sore but they say this shall pass. When I came home I weighed myself (Thursday) and because I was retaining fluids I gained 15 lbs. Well this morning I weighed myself again and I have lost 10 lbs of fluid. Yeah!!!!!!! Maybe we can meet sometime before the holidays. I'm not far from odenton. Thanks for thinking about me. Keep me posted. Lisa

Glad your home, I've been home for a week and I agree the surgery did have it's share of pain, but every day was so much better that I could hardly wait to go to bed at night cause I knew I was going to get up better. Welcome and congratulations.

Thanks for the reply. Since you have been home have you had any problems with retaianing fluid? I think this is the worst part. My legs and ankles are swelled up so much that it makes it hard to get up and move.

Hi Lisa~~~~~~ Welcome home and welcome to the loosing side. I had problems with my ankles in the hospital if I didnt keep them elevated they swelled up like lemons. Just keep them elevated and keep walking that helped it too. Good luck and take care Kelly

Welcome Home! I am near Middle River ---we may be neighbors!?! Take your pain meds is my suggestion for the first few days at least. The liquid pain med i had helped greatly even though i only took about half a dose each time. I slept a lot the first few days at home. Take care karen
