Hey everyone - I'm baaack!!! First, thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers for my Bubba. He's much better, but still has a NASTY cough, so he's going to the dr. this a.m. Then my Mom will be watching him the rest of the day and tomorrow. School's closed on Friday, so Gary decided to not send him the rest of the week. He was happy as a clam yesterday when I watched him - it's good to be Bubba when you can sit in your footed-pj's and play Legos all day. And that's all he did, he didn't even want to stop to eat, but he finally did eat some mac&cheese. He's such a good little kid, not a peep out of him while I sat and did TONS of laundry!!! So I'm back to work, trying to sort out my desk - I know it's Wednesday, but I don't know what day it feels like!!! Will try to catch up later! Hope everyone has a wonderful day! Tia

Hey G/F, Glad to hear that B is feeling better That's always scary. I was home yesterday and I've called in today because I'm not feeling good. I've had trouble breathing (taking deep breaths and my chest is sort of congested) and I'm really tired the past two days and I've had to use my inhalers (for the first time since I don't know when). If I'm not feeling better by later today, I'm going to call the Dr. and I guess I'll probably have to go in there tomorrow. I hate feeling this way and yet part of me is mad because I've got so much going on right now I don't have time not to feel good. I guess I picked something up this past weekend in Williamsburg (too bad he couldn't have been tall, dark and handsome...hahaha). Try to have not too hectic a day! Hugs, T

Hey T - Poor you! I'm sorry you're sick, too! I know you must be sick to call in, especially during this crazy time of year! Unlike me, who would call in if I could for a broken nail!!! Yep, B's better, thank goodness. I bet I did 10 loads of laundry yesterday at Gary's - where does it come from??? Socks, OMG, I've never seen so many socks in my life!!!! But it was nice being home with him, just me and my Bubba! MOTY said she can't take any more time, she's already taken TWO WHOLE DAYS!! BOO-HOO!! Yes, I believe you need to be a little more discerning when "picking things up!!!" Don't let this linger, call your doc like you said - okey-dokey? Gary's relationship with his CPAP is much improved, he's actually getting some quality sleep now - thank goodness! Be good and drink your fluids! Tia

I won't let this linger...that's why I said if I don't see a difference between now and later today I'm calling the doc. Oh, I'm glad to hear that Gary and the CPAP have made "friends". hehe..I know that's a tough one to get over. But once you see how much better you feel after getting quality sleep it does make it a little easier to deal with (I know I'm preaching to the choir here). Gee, MOTY has taken 2 whole days..geez...I don't even know what to say to that. I mean, when you have children they come first - period. Sorry you had to climb the sock mountain with all that laundry....so do ya think that counts as exercise? hehe. I need to go work out but I think I'm gonna wait until this afternoon and see how I'm feeling.

Yes, I will be buying MOTY a trophy for Christmas! Actually, if you come over on Halloween, you will get the supreme honor of meeting her - ESPECIALLY SINCE SHE TOOK OFF THAT DAY!!!!! WTH!!!! I am champion of Sock Mountain! I've just never seen so much laundry in my whole entire life!! Add to that the saga of Red Crayon vs. Postal Uniform, and you have my life! Actually, there is exercise in there if you count that I had to go up/down the steps many times putting away clean clothes from the laundry room just to get to sock mountain! Tia

Hi Tia On my lunch break from my class here. Walked to Subway and had a tuna wrap. I can remember a time when I would have thought they were 'stingy' with the filling, but I could barely eat it all and left parts of the 'wrap' anyway. Glad to hear Bubba is doing better. How's the red crayon patrol going ??? One of the first bits of 'news' at the class this a.m. was that they will be able to compress 3 days into 2 so I'll be out of here tomorrow afternoon and be able to see my own desk for a day before I take off for Chicago ... I am not sure if that is a blessing or not. Have a good Wednesday. Hugs, Mo

Hey Mo - I used to think wraps were pitiful excuses for a sandwich, now, I'm lucky if I can do a half!! Amazing! Oh, yeah, I forgot about the red crayon - it shows up soooo prettily against post office blue! Fortunately, with a dollar store stain remover, of all things, and a LOT of Mom's elbow grease, she was able to save all of his pants and is still working on his shirts. Their clothing is sooo expensive, even with their allowance! I felt really bad, but he wasn't too upset, probably because in the whole scheme of things, it just didn't matter! Bubba may go back to school tomorrow - the dr. cleared him this morning, I think we'll just wait and see. Hope you have "fun" working in Chicago - will you have time to Magnificent Mile? Isn't this Marathon weekend? In any event, have a safe, happy trip! Tia

My time in Chicago is pretty well 'structured'. I did plan to have all day Sunday to see things for myself and YEPPERS it's the freakin' marathon. I am sooooo not in the mood for crowds of people standing around on the streets and of course the marathon route goes right by our hotel. The Tuesday night 'event' for the conference is at the Field Museum .. the king Tut exhibit. That should be really cool. I am still deciding if I want to bother with taking the laptop with me. It's just such a hassle to take it through airport security. I guess I'll see how the packing goes and decide if I have room to stuff it into the backpack. Right now I am saying NO, but that could change between now and 5 a.m. Sunday morning. Hugs, Mo

Hi Tia, I am glad that B is better. I have been very busy all day today. I am glad that all the things I have had to do are going very smoothly. It's all working out according to plan, which is very nice as that doesn't happen often in my world. I have not done very well with exercise this week. I slept in yesterday and today instead of getting up and getting my strengthening workouts done. I did go for a walk at lunch today. I can always catch up tonight, if I make myself do it. But for the most part my exercise is right on track. I am not doing well with the eating. I am just not getting my meals in and so I am snacking a lot more. My snacks aren't bad but I know I am not getting in enough calories or protein. I am trying to keep up with the water. I just stay so busy at my desk that I don't force myself to eat a regular meal. I really need to take my time and do what I know is best for me. Well, gotta run. I am off to get a lunch meeting cleaned up. My lunch will have to wait...again. Hugs, Robin

Hey Rob - Oh, yeah, our boy scared us - lots this time! Although I'm sure he would love a helicopter ride any other time, I think he would've been too sick to enjoy it this time! Thank goodness, though, he's on the mend. I sympathize with you on the exercise, but I'm so bad at it myself that I really can't offer much except encouragement. I know you're busy, but if you don't get your protein in, you know you'll get sick and then you'll have to take off of work - blah, blah, blah. Do this for you, you had the surgery for you, now eat for you! Easier said than done, I know. Hang in there! EAT LUNCH!!! Tia
