Help...Need a therapist in MD or DC area

Hey fam, I really need to sit down and talk w/ someone...but I need someone who specifically deals with WLS people. I've seen a "regular" therapist and she just wasted my time and my money. If you know someone in the MD/ DC area pls let a sister know. Thanks!!!!

Hey K.B. - Been thinking about this myself, so I feel your pain. Have you asked your surgeon? He/she may be able to direct you to someone to deal with allll those issues that go through our heads! Good luck, Teresa

Contact Dr. Barry Greene's office, and ask for the telephone number for Meri Goldberg. Meri is a wonderfully compassionate individual, and specializes in working with WLS patients and others with eating disorders. I believe she has an office in Silver Spring. She recently authored a book on the post-op issues of bariatric patients. She also helps w/Dr. Greene's support group meetings (the ones that meet the 2nd Monday of every month).
