Road trip - Wednesday
Howdy
Not a whole lot to report tonight. We had a lazy laid back day. We went out to WalMart (yet AGAIN) in search of flourescent bulbs for the overhead in the bedroom and funky little halogen lights that go under the cabinets. Success on the flourescent bulbs but we had to go to a camping place to get the funky halogen bulbs.
While we were out we started to go to On the Border for lunch (I had a $5 off card), but we passed a new Five Guys that had just opened. Mr Mo's never been to a Five Guys so I thought that would be an interesting compromise (since he's not into Mexican AT ALL). I made a valiant attempt at a small bacon cheeseburger with the 'works'.
Today might have been our last day of 'warm' (70's) weather .. so I took advantage and sat outside on the patio under the awning and read for a couple of hours when we got back. Actually, we stayed outside until about 8:30. We set up the new propane campfire .. that is really cool .. well . really .. kinda warm!!!
They are racing at the Dirt Track tonight and we can see/hear the track from our site, so there will be NO sleeping until the racing is done tonight. They just had a fireworks display (I think it must have been before the main feature ???) Of course, now the wind has picked up and we had a lightening show off to the west so I'm guessing we may have one heck of a storm tonight.
Going to do a little running around tomorrow .. it's getting 'crowded' so we will be sticking close to 'home' and just relaxing. A racing chat friend should be getting here tonight. He and Mr Mo are playing golf on Friday.
Ok, I think I'll take a walk before I chase Lefty off the sofa!!! By the way Tia, I've discovered that Mr Mo is the one helpin' Lefty on to the sofa. He hasn't figured out the step thing on his own.
Hugs & smoochies,
Mo
Morning Mo! Glad your having a chillin', relaxin' time! I love that kind of vacation. Get lots of reading done and concentrate on yourself and hubby. We are leaving for VT at 1AM Friday morning. My son informed me that their calling for snow on Friday. Unreal!! Not sure how to pack. He just said that this week they've had some beautiful fall days. Does fall only last one week there??? Take care and thanks for the updates.

Hi Traci
Have a safe trip to Vermont. I am not so sure about Fall I think after the last couple of years, the weather everywhere has gotten messed up. We used to visit friends in southern NH in the fall and the weather was generally really nice. I can't remember though if that was in September or October. Pack in layers ..that should cover you!
It's about 5 a.m. here this morning and it doesn't 'feel' too cold, but I've got on sweats. I have a feeling though that it's going to be a lot cooler once the sun comes up than it has been. We had one beauty of a storm last night and now our satellite signal on the dish is out. I guess it needs to be reset or something.
Hugs, Mo
Hijack -
Hey Traci -
Have a great, safe trip to Vermont!! Snow!! I only want enough to whiten the grass and trees, and then I want it GONE!!! But I'm kind of envious anyway, I want it to be cold here, so I can sit at night with a book and a hot cup of flavored tea!!!!
Pack layers, that way you'll be prepared for anything. Although I don't really know how you could be prepared for snow in October!
Have fun at parent's weekend!
Tia
Hey Mo -
YAY for lazy days - you need them!!! Reading and relaxing, what more could you want???
Oh, I love Five Guys - I can do about a half a single burger, as long as it's got cheese and mayo on it. I can also do about 4 fries, but that's it. Piggy Brother can do two doubles, my other half and fries. Gee, wonder why he thinks he needs to lose weight? In fact, I think we're going there tonight. I try to get him not to order so much, but after not eating all day, he's usually starving!
Aw, Mr. Mo's such a nice kitty-daddy!
When do you get back? We miss ya, but are glad you're having fun!
Tia
