After 27 days I finally hit 20lb loss. After 2 weeks, I had no loss for about 10 days....OMG was strating to think this wasn't gonna work for me. I am still swollen through my mid section. How long will it take for that to go down? Got my first B12 shot yesterday and have 1st nut appointment tomorrow. Saturday will be a month, it is hard to believe this much time has passed. I was really hoping for a 50lb loss by November 30th that is 6 1/2 weeks to lose 30 more lbs. Is it possible?

Congrats on the 20 lbs. Don't beat yourself up over 50 lbs. You need to concentrate on what your doing not how much you want to loose by a certain date. If you do the stuff your nut and doc says that will be the successful part for you Good Luck Kelly wheeler

Hi Yvonne, Just focus on doing what you're supposed to do with protein/supplements and fluids. That tool that your Dr. gave you will do it's job. Losing weight is like a stairstep...some fits and starts. It took me a little over 2 months to lose 50lbs. Don't worry, just focus each day on what you're supposed to do and it'll take care of itself Keep up the great work! Take Care, Terry

That is great! 20 lbs in less than a month. I know it's frustrating to feel like you aren't losing as fast as others or on target. You are doing good though. Keep up with the protein and fluids. You will do fine. I really didn't swell much so I can't speak to that. Only more great success to come! Hugs, Robin

Hey there ROOMIE! 20 pounds is nothing to sneeze at! You are doing great! Just remember, the slower you lose it the better for your skin anyway. I'm down 25, but I probably have a lot more to lose than you do. That and the fact that for a couple of days I couldn't eat much because I had broccoli STUCK! Barfed for almost an entire day, then had to go back to liquids for a few days. I'm fine now. My appetite is back and I can get more down now than ever. First fill is Thursday 10/19 with Pat. Can't wait for more restriction. I already have a good amount with just my band. Hang in there!!! You can do it!

Not sure how to proceed on this site but you guys seem so nice i am going to write here. I am 4 days post op and MISERABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The thought of eating (drinking) another glass of plain tea or water or sugar free jello or popsicle makes me nauseous. I don't have a scale so i have no idea if i have lost any weight but i haven't eaten since Sunday. Are there any other clear liquids that worked for you? Is yogurt or pudding (sugar free of course) on the full liquid plan? Any ideas or suggestions are welcome. I want to go back to work next week but i am so cranky not sure i'll be able to do it. (I have kept this a secret)

Beth, You have to eat. I can't imagine you still on clear liquids. I was able to eat cream soups, mashed potatoes, oatmeal, cream of wheat. cottage cheese, soup, soup and more soup, Chili..... Actually any thing as long as it was of apple sauce consistancy, oh and I ate that too. Use a blender or "Magic Bullet". (This was the phase of eating I was in around day 4). Did protein drinks. I think Hanks is the best, really does taste like milkshake. You have to eat to loose. Pudding is a great idea, and yogurt, jus****ch your sugar grams. Please keep us posted, don't be miserable, you've done a good thing for your health. Take care. Kim
