Road trip
Hi gang
We got on the road last night about 9:15-ish. Mr Mo drove down to the first rest area in NC on I-85 and pulled in to snooze for a while. I had made it staying awake until about 12:30 then fell asleep. So I woke up when he pulled over and promptiy went back to sleep again. I am guessing he stopped around 2:30 or so. I woke up about 5:30 to the sound of one of the boys digging for China in the litter box. Mr Mo got up shortly thereafter and we were back on the road. We got to our Waffle House that we always stop at and were here to the campground about 9:30 which was right on schedule. It was raining when we got here, so Mr Mo just hooked up the essentials ... water, electric & cable He's gone off to snooze and I actually was napping on the sofa until my sister called and woke me up. I need to make a grocery store run, but that might not happen until MUCH later .. or even tomorrow. We have stuff to hold us over in the mean time. I can send him out for a loaf of bread.
I'm sitting here typing and Lefty is sprawled on my lap. He was very laid back the whole trip down. I put him in the kennel and he just settled into his little bed. Poncho on the other hand paced and whined and was a general PIA. He'd get in Lefty's way and Lefty would snarl and smack him. I really doubt either of them slept much during the night so they are sacked out now.
It's stopped raining so I am hoping the weather will clear and the rest of our week will be bright and cheery. I'll take some pictures of our happy campsite when we get it fixed up. I'm looking forward to sitting outside with my new propane campfire .
I'm eyeing the sofa and thinking Lefty and I should displace Poncho and take a nap while we watch the Talledega race.
Hugs, Mo
Hey Mo,
Glad to hear you and Mr. Mo and the boys made it safely Have an excellent time on your vacation this week. I caught the tail end of the race yesterday, wasn't that a freaky ending? Oh well, anything is possible at a NASCAR race (especially at the big restrictor plate tracks)!
Take Care & Hugs,
Terry
