I came home around 8 pm on Thursday and went right to bed. My surgeon said I was doing so well with my liquid intake and walking that I didn't need to stay the extra night. I feel a little sore but otherwise I feel pretty good. How is everyone else doing? Elizabeth

Thanks Mo! I have been walking around the house and up the stairs every hour that I have been awake. If my diarhea lets up, tomorrow I will have someone take me to the mall to walk. Elizabeth

Elizabeth, So glad to see your post, and that you're doing so well. Mo is right: WALK! Even if it's yucky weather today, walk around your home. If you can get a ride to one of the local indoor malls, go walking there (just stay away from the food court). I don't have your home phone number, and will be out/about during the day on Monday. E-mail me w/your phone number, and I'll give you my cell number, in case you want me to pick you up, or help arrange for a ride to Monday evening's support group meeting. Whatever you do: keep sipping your water and your protein shakes!!! See 'ya soon, Leesa

Elizabeth - Sorry, can't help you with the diarrhea, I never had that problem post-op. Pre-op, now that's another story - I had IBS w/diarrhea, which miraculously went away post-op. Yet another reason to be sorry I didn't have it done 20 years ago!!!!! Maybe it's just all the meds/anesthesia working their way out of your system? Remember, your body pretty much went through hell and is saying WTH??????!!!!! Make sure you drink enough - you definitely don't want to get dehydrated. If it continues, I'd call your doctor, don't wait, better to be safe than sorry. If it's hard getting in your liquids, try s/f popsicles if you're allowed. Take care, Teresa
