Good morning. Actually it's noon now. I too have had a busy morning. Must be a Thursday thing. I am trying to get some loose ends tied up with some upcoming travel and hopefully have a few of the trips completed by end of day. I walked 2 miles at lunch yesterday. Won't have time today unless I go after 2:00. Back to back meetings that i have to set up and clean up so I don't have enough time to walk and then dry off (from my sweat). Besides I don't like to get sweaty when I have to meet clients. So after 2 just might work, if I can get my guys squared away so they won't need me for an hour. The scale said I have lost weight. I am not sure I believe it. Maybe 3 or 4 lbs but I will check again tomorrow. I was pretty discouraged yesterday, dispite everyone's encouraging words, and just felt like eating anything. Well, I tried to avoid doing that. I accomplished that for the most part. I had some yummy chicken at lunch but I ate it over a 1 1/2 hour time period so that isn't very good. When I eat at my desk I tend to graze my lunch. However, I needed the protein and was so glad that the food went down easy for a change. Then last evening I ate a spoonful of peanut butter, 8 grapes, one piece of sugar free chocolate toffee candy and one piece of sugar free hard candy. NOT a good dinner. I wasn't really hungry and we were only home for about 30 min before rushing out the door for church. When I got home I was hungry so I ate a 1/2 cup of special K cereal. Well, that isn't good for me cuz the milk makes me nauseaus. So, I started out pretty good but ended the day badly. Today is a new day and I have started out pretty good. I had meat & cheese for breakfast (14 gr protein) and am going to have chicken salad for lunch. Beef stew is in the crock pot for dinner so I'll eat some beef and carrots for dinner. Yep, it's looking better today. Well, y'all have a wonderful day. Oh, I love the Biggest Loser! It's such an inspirational show. I want to be able to exercise like they do. Soon, very soon. Hugs, Robin

Hey Robin - Good for you on that walk!!! I used to sweat like such a pig - OMG! my hair would need to be wrung out!!! I try not to do anything resembling exercise at work, with the exception of walking the three flights of stairs, which I don't do nearly as much as I should. It's so hard to eat right when you're busy, and I've done that "here and there" dinner. You're right, it's not good, but I figure a spoonful of pb is better than something from a drive through!!! I haven't attempted cereal post-op, with the exception of the Kashi hot & creamy vanilla, which has more protein than most. My latest kick is Greek yogurt - 20 grams of protein per cup, mixed with some homemade Amish cranberry granola - YUM-O! It wraps everything up - protein, creamy, sweet, cruncy, etc., all in one. Have a great day!! How'd Stephanie make out at the doctor's the other day? Did I miss your update? Tia

Nope, keep on asking - I may just answer you one day! The grazing or non-grazing, is going well today. I just don't feel like it - WTH???? The Colonel's gone to a luncheon, so now it's a typical day. Actually, on Tuesday night, Mom & I went to Bacoli Delight, an Italian restaurant near us, and split a Caesar salad and a sausage roll - kind of like a calzone. I asked for extra cheese in it, and I was full after sharing that with. Once I was home, well after 30 minutes had passed, I made myself my usual evening cup of tea, and went to bed. After I drank the tea, I was so BLOATED, I felt like I could be in the Macy's parade!!! I've never gotten bloated, not from my period, not from anything - so it's a strange sensation. I'm thinking of buying some water pills, because I noticed that everything has that "tight" feeling, including my rings. It's got to be fluid, but it's so weird. What do you think of the water pill idea? I got an unexpected day off yesterday. I woke up at 5 a.m., and thought, "I don't want to go to work," and then my Mom announced that we didn't have water. YAY! No worky for Tia!!! No shower = no worky!!! So I'm back today, nothing new here, gonna go to lunch now - salad w/shrimp (yeah, let's add to the bloat!!!), so I'll post more later! Tia

I've been bloated this week too. I just took Midol PMS - I needed it. hehehe Sure, I don't think taking a water pill every once in awhile is a bad thing. I just wouldn't get in the habit of using them regularly. Ut-oh...I know exactly what you mean about the no water = no worky. If I cannot take my shower and make myself presentable I'm not coming to work. Funny, I will come to work without makeup on...I used to do that all the time before WLS. I just didn't care at that point. I think subconsciously I was thinking if I didn't put on makeup (or dress up) then I would melt into the woodwork. I'll go without makeup if I have to, but I will not go anywhere without the hair looking decent. I have no motivation to be at work this afternoon. I've got a ton of stuff to do, but I'm not motivated to be here. I keep thinking about all I need to do to get ready for this party this weekend. I went to the grocery store last night and bought pork and beef (for bbq pork and pit beef). Tonight I'm going to put the pork in the oven around 10:00 and let it cook all night at 225 degrees. By the time I get up tomorrow it should be done and falling off the bone which is just what I want. Well, I guess I better get cracking here....have a great afternoon! T

You are too funny!!! When I was heavier, I made sure my makeup was always impeccable - my thinking was that no one could say I was fat AND ugly. Same thing with wearing contacts instead of glasses, making sure the hair was done - and on and on!!!! The party sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun! I know it's a labor of love, so I hope the birthday girl appreciates it!! Have fun, and try to rest when it's all over! Tia
