Happy Friday....er, Thursday Morning!
Hey Everybody!
Happy Friday (at least it's my Friday since I'm off tomorrow)! How is everyone today? How goes everything? fluids, eating, supplements, protein and exercise? I don't mean to sound like a broken record every morning and if everybody is sick of me asking, just tell me and I'll stop. I just figured it was a good idea for us to have a "mental checklist" of the things we should be vigilant about.
I'm doing pretty good here. Had a little bit of a snack attack last night and I was attacked by a can of cashews....hehe. Well I'm not proud of it and I've got to be more vigilant and not let myself snack that late at night (9:30). It's so easy to fall into destructive behaviors....but darnit, I was watching The Biggest Loser and it was kinda emotional and I was just sitting there munching away. Other than that, things are good. I go today for my last session (for awhile anyway) with the personal trainer. I figure I'll give myself six months to screw up..er, I mean work toward my fitness goals and then I'll get two (or more) sessions with him again. He's great, super encouraging and informative.
Well it's a busy, busy day here at the ranch, so I'm gonna mosey back to some real work. Have a wonderful day everybody!
Take Care,
Terry
Good morning Terry
I really can't sulk at you for having another Friday off (is it my imagination or do you have every other Friday off ???) because I'll be off all next week! YAY!!! I need this vacation. After being out the equivalent of 6 weeks last year, between whole weeks off and long weekends, this year I've not really taken any time, just the time in May and an odd day here and there. After next week I need to take 2 or 3 days off to use up my annual leave for the year or it will roll to sick leave (better than losing it, but even better to take it). I think I need to use my personal day and a floater too. I see some Fridays off in my November and December
The end is in sight (I HOPE) with the proposals. The committe has done its part and made a recommendation. Now we just have to wait for purchasing to do its thing and hopefully not mess it up for us. We had hoped to have everything done by 9/30 but that didn't happen, so let's pray there are no more bumps in the road with it.
I've been working on a project to gather some statistics on how many people have used our eCheck option to pay us since we put it in place last October 24. It's been ages since I have been so absorbed by something that the days just fly by and I dont leave my desk I love my job but there are times when I miss the old job when I was doing financial statements and more hands on accounting. Now my job is more administrative and 'in your face' with the public.
I measured the distance I've been walking at lunch on the way in this a.m. From the building up to the corner of Taylor Ave is .7 mile so round trip is just about 1.5 miles. When we tack in the loop around DNR and the court admin buildings I am sure we are walking 2 plus miles at lunch time. If I can keep that up on an almost daily basis I'll be feeling like I've accomplished something.
Uh oh, phone calls starting already. I had better scoot.
Have a wonderful day!
Hugs, Mo
Good Morning Mo
You're not imagining things. I work my 80 hours in 9 days and have the luxury of having every other Friday off. Course I spend it running around so it's not a restful day off. I'm glad to hear that your proposal process is coming to a close. I'm sure you'll be sad to see it end (not). hehe
That's great about the walking. I've been so busy this week that I have not had a chance to do any extra cardio on the elliptical trainer at home. I did the grass/yard work on Tuesday so I don't feel like a total slug, but I really want to kick it up a notch. Gee, now I sound like Emeril.....BAM! hehe
Well I hope you and Mr. Mo have a great vacation. Relax and enjoy your time off! We'll miss your smiling face on the board (not sure if you plan to be "connected" while vacationing).
Have a great day!

Hey Mo -
Have a wonderful, relaxing vacation!!! Please make yourself a checklist - cat food, Mr. Mo, cats, flamingo purse....oh, yeah - and a remote control to find the last two items. But not Mr. Mo, I suspect that even if you dropped him off far from home, he'd find his way back!!!! Oh, and don't forget a piece of wood to keep kittycat from getting under the dash!!!!!
I'm sure you'll get some walking in while you're away, but I hope you get some reading of trashy novels and some rest in, too!!! Try not to think TOO much about the proposals!!!!
Have a great, safe trip, and like Terry said, if you're email accessible, let us know how it's going!

Thanks for the good vacation wishes! I am really psyched for it. I've still got a 'few' things that I want to finish up before I walk out of the office on Friday afternoon and of course things are not packed, but that is what the last minute is for ... Mr Mo has to work at least a bit of Saturday and we are not leaving until probably 8-ish Saturday night so I have plenty of time before the LAST minute.
If Poncho gets into mischief this time, he's gonna be living in the kennel FULL time and not have free run of the joint ... as if I could stand listening to him whine while he was locked up.
Anyway .. I had better think about what I am going to pack .. even if I'm not actually packing.
Hugs, Mo
