Good morning gang Where did the weekend go ??? Mine seemed to fly by and I'm ready for another one already. At least when my weekend starts again this Friday I'll be on vacation until the 17th. Not much to report here. We went to the Mets-Nats game on Saturday night. I was concerned about the cold/rain, but fortunately neither happened. It was a cool evening but comfortable and the rain stayed away until well after we got home. I do have a 'funny' to report though. It's a running joke with Mr Mo and I that we get in the car and I ask him if he has the tickets. Well, I NEVER gave it a thought on Saturday night. We were actually sitting on the Metro train at New Carrollton and he said .. you DO have the tickets don't you, and I just LOOKED at him. Quick, off the train and back to Arnold to get the tickets. Fortunately we had built some extra time into the trip and we got home, picked up the tickets, and were still at RFK before 6 p.m. for a 7:05 game time. Mr Mo was especially pleased that the Mets won. There seemed to be almost an equal number of Mets & Nats fans there too. (Maybe a few MORE Mets fans ???) Yesterday we went to breakfast and then a few errands and home again. I've got to start working on getting the RV ready for our trip, but it wasn't yesterday Have a wonderful Monday. Hugs, Mo

GM Mo We must be on the same wavelength this morning. Good thing you built in some extra time or you'd have been in trouble. I look forward to going to my next sporting/public arena event. I haven't been to any of them since my weightloss so I'm anxious to see how comfortable the seats are. Just one of many little "wows" that await us on the WLS journey. Your vacation should be great. I love this time of year, it's the best. Not too hot, not too cold. I hope it's not too much work getting the RV ready to hit the road. Well I gotta get cracking here, just didn't want to ignore your post Have a Wonderful Day! Terry

Morning Terry Where I really noticed the difference was my comfort level at NASCAR races. Losing that 'extra' person who was trying to sit in my lap has made all the difference! Getting ready is not really to big a production, it's more 'packing' than anything. I need to be sure the sheets are on the bed and there are towels and then get my clothes ready. Plan some menus and put the 'staples' in the pantry. I'll probably do my shopping for perishables when we get there. Have a good one! Hugs, Mo

Good morning. Yes, the weekend went by too quickly. I had a nice weekend. Went to the Walk from Obesity. It was fun. Got a lot of free stuff from different companies who had set up tables. Mostly pens but I love to collect pens so that was fun for me. They had a vendor there that sells the "gun" used to do the lap-RNY. It was pretty cool. She showed us how the gun staples off the stomach and explained how the different ports are incerted into the 5 or so cuts that you get with the lap-rny. I am glad that I saw that after my surgery and not before. Actually I am not weak in the stomach that way so it wouldn't have bothered me either way. I walked the 2 miles in about 40 minutes. That's a pretty good pace for me. Let me tell you that I sure felt the muscles I used later that evening and the next day. But it has inspired me to walk more and use a quicker pace when I walk. I went out again last night and walked 1.5 miles in 28 minutes. Then I did all of my conditioning exercises. I am a bit sore today but it feels good. I didn't eat well all weekend, just didn't have an appetite. I didn't eat poorly either so I guess that's not too bad. I went shopping this weekend. I bought a new pair of jeans. A size 20 from Old Navy. I have to sew the waist because as usual they are too big in the waist. But they fit nice everywhere else. I also bought a pretty sweater. My daughter had me try on a pair of pants that I would not have picked out for myself. They were a size 18 and they FIT! Yay! I didn't buy them yet because I didn't want to over do it. I am going to go back next payday and buy them. I really need to hit the thrift stores so I won't spend so much money on new stuff that I am hoping won't fit in another 5-6 months. I still haven't lost any weight. It's been 3 weeks with not loss. I guess this is my first true plateau. It totally sucks but I won't quit. I am sticking with my exercise and eating right and vitamins, etc. I think that I have lost inches so that is good. Still, my goal is to lose 8 lbs a month in order to reach my 1 year goal. At this rate I won't make it but maybe after I break out of this plateau I'll catch up. I am trying not to think about this being it for the weight loss. I am happy with what I have lost so far. I just don't want to stay here. I really want to lose more. I really enjoy watching baseball live. I am not a fan of it on t.v. Next season we will have to go to some games around here. We watched football yesterday. Several really good games yesterday that came down to the last few minutes. Sunday is football day in our house. Cowboys won!!! Yay. Packers play tonight against Philadelphia. I like Brett Farve of Green Bay and so I hope they win. Enjoy your day. Hugs, Robin

Hi all, Robin, that is really awesome about your new clothes and the walking that you did! I am really impressed. I can walk about 3 minutes, maybe, but I am hanging in because my leg pain is getting better. It's good to hear that you are goning to hang in there even though you have hit a plateau. I know I will need encouragement when I get there, too. Have a good one, Julie

Morning Robin Great job on the walking!!! I love Old Navy. It has to be one of my favorite stores and I have found some great bargains on the clearance racks there. Mr Mo's one real sports 'addiction' is baseball. We went to the game on Saturday because it was the METS !!! When we lived in the NY Metro area we would get to 10-15 Mets games a year so he misses them. When the Baysox (the O's AA team) were first formed we had a season package for years and went to a lot of games, but we haven't been doing that much either. Watching at the minor league level is fun though ... I think more fun and rewarding than the 'big' leagues. Have a good day! Hugs, Mo
