gained or lost weight........ poll

Was wondering from Surgery date until 1st fill~ gain weight or lost weight ?????

Donna, I had RNY Surgery so I haven't had any "fills". I just didn't want you to think that nobody read your post or cared. I hope you get some informative responses. You may want to try the lap band forum to get more possible responses. Just a thought, don't mean to run you away from this board Take Care, Terry

Hi Donna. I had RNY so I can not speak from experience. However, we have several in our support group who have had lap-band. I seem to recall that all of them reported losing weight before the first fill. I think they all have done very well. I know several of them were ready for their 3rd or 4th fill as the weight loss seemed to plateau by then. I hope you are doing well. Robin

Donna, I am one of the very FEW lap banders here. Both me and my husband have been banded. I'm 2+ weeks post op, but hubby was banded 5/18. He lost 18 pounds between surgery and his 1st fill. I have lost 13+ so far post op and I am having my fill at 5 weeks. Heather
