Good Tuesday Morning Everybody! How is everyone today? I'm doing pretty darn great. Eating/Protein/Supplements/Water and Exercise are all great. Worked out on the weights for a little over an hour last night and then did another 30 minutes of cardio. The scale hasn't budged, but my personal trainer used the fat analyzer and in 3 weeks my body fat has gone from 37.4% to 34.0% even. Not a huge drop, but he said that was pretty good for only 3 weeks. I know I'm on the right track, just have to not be discouraged just because the scale is not moving. Tonight my Mom and I are meeting Tia and her Mom for dinner...can't wait to eat those crabcakes, yummy! So what's up in your world? How goes the eating/supplements/protein/water and exercise? Have a wonderful day! Take Care, Terry

Good morning Terry Happy Tuesday! Another day closer to vacation here, but lots to get done in the office before I take off on the 7th. I think a 3.4% drop in body fat is AWESOME ... especially in just 3 weeks. Dr Sofronski never gives his patients a 'weight' goal but rather a body fat % to strive for. My goal is 27%. I spent a chunk of lunchtime yesterday going over the Big Vanilla website. They have a lot to offer and I guess I really need to call and make an appointment to go check them out. Now that I have made up my mind that I want to do that, I am impatient even though I know I'm going to be gone most of October so there is no point in joining until I get back from Chicago. I needed to go to Sam's last night after work and never made it. I went home thinking I would change and go back out. BIG mistaken thinking on my part So today I MUST leave the office at 4:30 and drive directly to PetSmart (down to the last can of cat food .. ) and then on to Sam's to do my shopping. Exciting news on the work front ... the software upgrade that we have now postponed for the 4th time may actually happen as now scheduled in November. We had agreements hung up between the respective legal departments and everything has FINALLY been signed and the vendor has the purchase order. Of course, as soon as we get this upgrade done we will be going right into the next one because we are a year behind. ARGHHHH!!!! Enjoy your dinner with Tia and the 'Moms" ... that sounds like it will be a fun time. Hugs, Mo

Oops Mo, That was a .4% drop from 37.4% to 37.0%..darn fingers, wish they'd cooperate! I am really enjoying working out regularly. I feel better, more flexible and stronger. I know that seems kind of obvious from a common sense point of view, but until you're doing it, you don't realize how much different your body feels. So where are you going on vacation? I've got a busy month in October myself. Helping to throw a party for a friend on the 7th, going to Williamsburg with old g/f's on the 14th, going to Ocean City with other g/f's on the 21st and have a costume dance/sister's birthday on the 28th! woohoo, talk about a social life! hehe. That's great news about your software upgrade. I work in the RFP/RFQ, Proposal, Contracts arena so I know how frustrating it can be to get all the details worked out. Have a great day! Terry

We leave the 7th (and come back the 16th) for our Fall NASCAR trip to Charlotte. We will just kick back and relax mostly for the week before the races. My g/f is getting married the 14th and we will miss the wedding, but will probably get a chance to meet them for dinner one night that week. We have other friends we will probably see during the week and of course I'll spend LOTS of time walking around Concord Mills (a sister mall to Arundel Mills). I leave for Chicago early Sunday a.m. 10/22 and come back late-ish Wednesday the 25th. Chicago is a software conference for work. This is the same trip I took last year to Nashville. I'm not really building any 'extra' time into the Chicago trip other than getting there EARLY on Sunday a.m. to spend the day sightseeing/visiting with a g/f who lives out there. I discovered that 10/22 is the day of the Chicago marathon so I am sure things are going to be congested. I think the marathon route goes by my hotel The proposals that I have been whining about for the last two weeks are the responses to an RFP. I've been through the evaluation process many times before and it's never EVER been this painful but this time is not fun. Hugs, Mo

Good morning Terry and gang!! Everything is good in my little corner of the world today! I meet with my surgeon for my pre-op appt today and then with the nutrionist to get the details of my two-week diet! I got on the scale this morning and I think I've gained about 7 pounds since I was last in the surgeon's office!! I've kind of been going a little crazy on the sweets this past week, especially since we bought Halloween candy over the weekend and I know I won't be eating any of it at Halloween!! But I'm looking forward to the time when it won't appeal to me! Today is my step-father's birthday so we are all getting together at my parent's house and having homemade potato chips and potato skins!! Sinfully good! Oh, and homemade chocolate chip cake (the only cake he will eat!). My husand and I joined a gyym and we're going to meet with the trainer to learn how to use the equipment and I can't wait to get started!! They have a pool and I'm really looking forward to swimming again! I used to be a competitive swimmer as a kid and when I quit, I was 3 seconds away from Olympic try-out times in the back stroker and freestyle! Why did I ever quit???? Oh, that's right....boys!! Terry, sounds like a good dinner date! Have fun! Talk to you all later and have a great day! Yvette

Sounds like you are busy, busy, busy Yvette Have fun with your step-father's party. Wow, that's something about the swimming. What gym did you join? I guess you're getting excited since you're down to two weeks from surgery. I remember thinking that I'd never get everything that I wanted to get done, done before surgery. It all worked out Take Care, Terry

Terry - We joined Columbia Associates. It's more than a gym, in fact there are 5 gyms, three of which of 24 hours! There are 17 outdoor pools, a mini water park, an indoor mini water park, mini golf and a bunch of other things that I can't even think of right now! I'm pretty excited and can't wait to start taking full advantage of the entire package. The kids have memberships as well and there's a Kid Zone at the gyms where they can be for up to two hours! Good Morning All - Mo, it's that "never matters...." day, which I still don't get. Anyway, we're inching toward Friday - actually, since I'm off Friday, I'll settle for Thursday! Terry, 34% is AWESOME!!! Wonder what it was pre-op??? Okay, so my drive to work varies from 30 minutes on a good day to a more normal 45-90 minutes, depending upon various factors, i.e., weather, idiots, etc., so it leaves me a lot of time to think, provided there's nothing good on the radio, CD player, etc. This morning there wasn't, so I had the chance to ruminate quite a bit - please bear with me. Some subjects are serious, some, not so much. TRAFFIC: There's nothing to wake you up quickly like the sound of squealing brakes, which causes you to look in the rearview mirror and see the car behind you RAPIDLY careening toward the median in an effort to NOT hit you. Okay, I'm awake - and pretty thankful that he woke up at the last minute, too!!!!! Now, for all of the uneducated drivers - if you see flashing lights AHEAD of you, it's a pretty safe bet that the Trooper is not doing it to get YOU, he already has someone pulled over. You need worry ONLY when the flashing lights are behind you. Slowing down when you see them a mile ahead of you on the slow shoulder, when you're in the fast lane, will only serve to slow traffic and **** me off!!! When you see the lights behind you, you need to a) get out of their way or b) pull over, because, YES, IT'S YOU!!!! When you see an accident, you DON'T need to rubberneck - simply look to ascertain that none of the vehicles involved belong to your loved ones, and then MOVE, dammit, MOVE!!!! Okay, enough said. NEW ORLEANS SAINTS: Now, mind you, I'm NOT a football fan, not even a little. However, I did hear this morning that the Saints played in the Superdome for the first time since Katrina. Now, I'm sure that pro sports are good for the city, but aren't there people still living in shelters? Have we forgotten about them? Since so many people were living (and died) in or near the Superdome immediately after Katrina, the Superdome obviously had to have somewhat of a clean-up/overhaul to get ready for football season. How could anyone, in good conscience, put money into that venture, yet leave people still homeless, jobless and without insurance??????? WTH????!!!!! Enough said. DATING: When I had my psyche eval, YES, I PASSED, the doc, who was a real sweetie, says, "You know, Ms. E., you are a very pretty woman, and I can see that you are on the inside, too. It's obvious you're very intelligent and caring, and (here's the funny part), once you lose weight and feel better about yourself, I suspect you'll be beating men off with sticks." Sorry, doc, ain't happening!!!! Um, okay, so where are they? Terry and I have discussed this at length - they're not at work (God help me!), and if they are, they've been, in my case anyway, married MULTIPLE times, they're not at church, and if they are, they're OLD, not OLDER, OLD, or married, I don't do bars, the last time I checked, they're not at Macy's, Payless, AC Moore, the playground, KB's school, or even Starbucks. So where are they? Internet dating has proven to be kind of weird for most of my friends who have tried it, and I've heard that the site, Plenty of Fish, should be named Plenty of Freaks!!! Terry and I used to think that it was because we were fat - well, I'm still fat, but not as much. Where are they??? When I belonged to Weigh****chers in 2001, I probably weighed about 300 pounds, after having lost about 80 on that program. I used to post on their message boards, and I remember posting on the men's forum, asking, just in general, do men date heavy women. The answer I got, from men ranging from the mid-200's to the 500's, was, "Sorry, you seem really nice, but based on your weight, no, I wouldn't date you." WTH???!!!! Now, I've never had a problem dating an overweight man, provided he took care of himself - hygiene, dress, etc. And I always tried to make sure I was put together to the best of my ability, too. So what gives? Any thoughts? It's okay if you don't have any thoughts, it just seems like a good rant this morning!!! And one other thing, my DM always says, "You're not going to meet anyone if you keep going out with your brother, they'll think he's your date!!!" Now, I considered making him a t-shirt that says, "Ask me about my single sister," but I haven't gone quite that far yet!!! So tonight, Terry and I are going out to dinner with our DM's, so I guess the men'll be falling all over us. Terry, BRING THE NET!!!! Okay, folks, that's my tale of woe!!! Have a great day, and I'll be thinking of you as I eat a crab cake!!! Smoochies, Tia

GM G/F That was a typo...it moved from 37.4% to 37.0%. Hey, not much, but I'll take it. My trainer seemed surprised that it have moved at all in 3 weeks. I do know what the percentage was before weight loss from when I was going to Curves. I seem to recall it being at least 47-49%. I'd have to get the paper out and look at it. I know you didn't mean it to be funny, but I was sitting here laughing my butt off at your traffic tutorial. It was right on the money! I agree with you about the football stadium. It's great that the team is playing on their homefield again, but what about the folks that don't have a "home" to go back to yet? Does seem skewed. Dating...shoot, I'm thinking about joining a nunnery...lol Not really, but I don't get it. I mean, I know I'm still a work in progress (physically) well ok, mentally and spiritually too (aren't we all), but I don't get it. I have alot to offer someone special. I'm on a few different dating sites and I have not had much luck. A few prospects here and there, but overall NADA. Hey, maybe we can use our Mom's to attract someone...you know like some use babies or dogs? hehehe What size does your brother wear? I'll make him a tshirt for you..Ravens purple, no lace or rhinestones, right? LOL I guess we both just need to be patient and bide our time...but sometimes the waiting is the hardest part (hey, isn't that a Tom Petty song?....hehe). I'm in a goofy mood today. This is my absolute favorite time of the year and I just love it! See ya tonight...have a great day! Th (the other Theresa..hehe)

Th - Forgot to tell you, Mom will be there. Thanks to mega-doses of steroids and a breathing treatment at the doc's, she's feeling better. Even so, I asked them to seat us on the bottom floor so we don't have to walk the steps. The reservation's for 6:30 under my name. Yes, Ravens purple, no lace, no rhinestones, but sequins are okay!!!! Yeah, yeah, biding my time - maybe we'll meet twins!!! How cool would that be? Of course, with our luck, they'll be twins in a circus freak show!!!!! My fave time of year, too - love it! Can't wait till it gets a little cooler though, so I can wear fall-like clothes - that I don't have!!! C YA 2NITE! Te
