It's Friday!!!
Good morning all my Maryland friends and lurkers
What's up for today? I've been so confused about the day all week that I am now not really sure this is Friday
I've still got those proposals hanging over my head. I've had them all read and I can talk about them, BUT I really don't have anything formal written down I think we are meeting to make a recommedation today. The last couple of days have been hectic and to be honest I've allowed any number of other things to distract me from the proposals.
I went dancing last night. There were only 6 of us (not that it's ever a REALLY big crowd, but 6 is small). I did try to stay out there but there were just some dances that I couldn't manage. And my hip was acting up Bad news last night though. The Pasadena Moose where we have been dancing on Thursday nights is closing. They may reopen in another location, but that is to be determined. Mike is working on finding us another place.
For a change I have no real plans for the weekend. I'm staying home. We will hopefully meet friends out for dinner tomorrow night (haven't seen them in a while) and do some house keeping and errands. I saw that Kohls is having a big sale tomorrow (with the early bird thing) so I might need to make a trip to Kohls. And I think on Sunday after breakfast we might go check out Terry M's Walmart and Sam's up there at Port Covington. I thought Mr Mo knew everything and when I told him about that Sam's and Wally World he was like .. WTH is that ???? So we are going to find out.
Ok, I've delayed long enough. Time to make the coffee and work on writing some stuff up.
Hugs, Mo
Morning Mo!
I am NEVER confused about what day is Friday - I just don't like working on them!!!
So, you're having a meeting to discuss having a meeting? Yes, I know how that is. I know you'll feel better once these proposals aren't hanging over you.
Sorry the Moose is closing - hopefully, you'll be able to find another spot to wear your red boots!!!
Have fun shopping! I bought some pants last night at Fashion Bug. It's weird - I'm finally down to a 14/16 in stretch/knit pants, but now the length has to be average, where before, I had to wear a petite length. Go figure!!! But at least I can say I'm in a 14/16 - although in other styles, it's a 20W - which is still an improvement from a 30/32!!!!!
I'm having dinner tonight with my aunt and cousin - Mom won't be joining us because she's still not feeling up to par. Tomorrow is kid-day, and anyone wanting to join us for duckpin bowling and lunch in the early afternoon is welcome, just email me! Sunday means cooking and typing and laundry, etc.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Tia
The proposals are for a 'service' so the meeting is to discuss who we will recommend to provide that service. I'll be so glad when it's over.
I took a walk upstairs and met the gal they hired for the job I didn't get. She seems quite nice. This should be funny .. her name is Laureen where mine is Maureen. Will that be confusing for people or what???? Fortunately even though we are both in the same department we won't be on the same floor.
I wish they would make women's slacks in 'lengths' like men's pants. I get frustrated with petites that are 6 inches too long yet or the ones that are maybe just right with a 3 inch heel .. and then there are the ones that just cover my ankles flat footed. ARGGGH .. there's no consistency.
Enjoy your dinner tonight. I think I am going to look forward to just staying in ... maybe read a book and get to bed early.
The duckpin idea is on my radar, but it will depend on Mr Mo's agenda tomorrow. He knows he's going to need to work, but not sure exactly where/what/how long. If I think I can meet ya I'll give you a jingle on the cell phone.
Hugs, Mo
So, is her nickname Lo? Or don't people at work call you Mo? I can't type what they call me here.
Early to bed? What's that? Hope you've got something good to read! I usually read 3-4 books a week, but when I get especially stressed, I can't absorb much, so I resort to magazines, cookbooks, etc.
The pants are a frustrating issue - on Saturday, I bought some nice Alfred Dunner's at Penney's, and they looked nice, according to Mom, who's my judge, and I thought they fit well, too. So yesterday, I tried them on, and they're too big!!! The scale's not showing a difference, so I think the fat is shifting - I just wi**** would shift away!!!!!
Yep, if you want to join us for duckpin watching, you know you're welcome!
C YA,
Tia
There are a couple of people here in the office who call me Mo, but for the most part it is Maureen
Did you already take the tags off the pants from Penney's??? If not take them back!!! I found when I was still actively losing I would buy things that were on the 'tight' side of fitting to give me a longer wearing time.
Hugs, Mo
On, no, believe me, I learned my lesson early - tags stay on everything!!! I just don't understand why they looked right in the store but not at home!! Oh, that's right - fun house mirrors!!!!!
The pair of 18W that I tried on were a little snug when I sat down and I didn't want to look like a sausage about to burst my casings!!!
Gonna have to go back to Penney's, I guess. Brian will be soooo unhappy - he hates to shop!!!!
