I just got a date! October 12, 2006

I'm new to the boards, but thought I would start trying to post here in the Maryland message board. I live in Nort Anne Arundel County and work in Towson. I've been going through the WLS process since February as my insurance (Kaiser) required 6 months nutrional counseling before approval. I got approved on August 10 and met with the surgeon on the 22nd. I had to wait for Kaiser to forward my mental health evaluation to me (took forever!) and I got in on Tuesday, faxed to the dr. on Wednesday and got a date yesterday for October 12!!! I can't believe how fast it's going now. It seems like I've been waiting for so long and all the sudden it's almost here! Well, just wanted to post and tell a few people! Vet

Thanks Mo! It's amazing how time just creeps and then all the sudden you are out of time!! I have a pre-op with the surgeon on 9/26, lab work on 10/2, tour of the hospital on 10/4 and a pre-op with my PCP on 10/6. After that it's just a week of waiting! I do have to start a 2-week liquid diet on 9/28. Vet

Hi Vet, Best of luck to you! I can relate to how quick things happen. My surgery is on Oct. 3rd and I started my actual stuff.....after researching for a long time...the beginning of August. I'll keep you in my prayers. ~Heather
