Happy Hump Day Everybody!
Good Morning Everybody, Happy Hump Day!
How is everyone today? Things in my world are going pretty good. Food/Supplements/Water/Protein are all good. Exercise has been great too. I've got a 5:00 appointment with my personal trainer. (I treated myself to six sessions to get myself off on the right foot). Yesterday I did 35 minutes/2.5 miles on my elliptical trainer at home. Work is progressing on the porch. They got the frame up yesterday. The inspector needs to come back today to inspect the holes for the footers. It would be great if this thing was done before the weekend (but after all this time and the delays, I'm not holding my breath).
Well, it's shaping up to be another busy day here on the workfront. Have a great day everybody!
Take Care,
Terry
Hi All - haven't posted in a bit. I have been busy getting ready for my daughter's wedding in Scotland. I leave today - I mean this evening. Up at 4 this morning trying to get myself tired so I can sleep on the plane. Yeah imagine that sleep. Not. Flying with my youngest daughter tonight. Keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I travel. Will be back on Sunday night. Looking forward to the trip. Until later.
Debra
Good Morning Terry- Thats great you treated yourself to personal training they always give you that little kick to get you motivated. My world has been crazy this week I havn't felt much like eating to much I was not doing good with my vitamins but I got back on track yesterday so I am proud of myself there. I have this cold that I just cant get rid of and I think that is what is messing me up this week. So I havnt been excersicing except went for a walk with the kids I watch yesterday so that was a little something and water arobics on saturday. I go to the doctors today to see what I have lost so far. Hopefully she can give me some good cold medicine cause the sugar free tussin isn't working. I havn't weighed my self since my 6 week check up which was August 16th because I have not bought a scale. I am afraid I will obsess about it ansd dont want to put my self through that. So it is an exciting day for me to see those numbers. Well good luck with your porch and hope you have a great rest of the week and weekend
Take Care
Kelly
Kelly -
Good for you for not obsessing about the numbers! In the beginning, I, too, only weighed at the doctor's office. In part because until I got below 330, it didn't register on my scale!!! Once I got below that point, look out!, because I became POSSESSED!! Not obsessed, possessed!!! I really let the numbers determine my day, but have since gotten much, much better about it!
So take it from me, keep doing what you're doing! Hope you feel better!
Tia
Morning everyone -
Yep, for us underpaid State employees, it's WednesPAY!!! WOO-HOO!!! BOO-HOO! It's spent already!! But the bills are taken care of, so that's a good thing! Work's been quiet - suspiciously so - I'm so tense, though, waiting to see what the November election will bring, Governor-wise.
Going to lunch at The Backfin with a friend of mine, they have great food! Soup, salads, burgers, crabcakes - I've never had anything there that I didn't like. I think my friend said he would pay because I'm basically a cheap date now - ha! He doesn't know I've got a yen for a crabcake!!!!
Well, not much else going on. Mom's asthma has kicked in with a vengeance, thanks to the changing weather, and she's been to the doc, but she said if she doesn't feel better by Thursday, she's not going to SC. Poor Mom! I want her to be able to go for her, but if she stays home, I'll be happy for me!! Shhh! Don't tell her!!! I mean, for God's sake, I'm 39 and holding, can't I live without my Mom for a week? But she's my friend, too, and we do a lot together. Oh, well, hopefully she'll get to go. She said if not, there's always next year.
My little friend has decided to visit again - don't know what's up with that, thought it had been resolved. Consequently, I feel like someone took a baseball bat to my ovaries!! For you men, I think the pain could be compared to having that catheter you all were talking about!!!!
Hope everyone has a great day!!! Start thinking about our November get-together (Amish Market, Valley View Farms & lunch somewhere). If we go to the Amish market, we need to go on a Saturday, they're closed on Sunday. So any of the Saturdays in November are okay for me, with the exception of the 25th. Actually, the 11th is the best for me, but let's see how it pans out for everyone else!
Take care,
Tia
Good morning Terry
I realized driving to work that I forgot my vitamins this a.m. . I guess it's a good thing that I generally take them both morning and night so I will just take them tonight and call it even for the day.
Stopped at Super Fresh after my nail appointment last night and stocked up on salad fixing for the rest of the week. So I've got my lunches under control. Have chicken and cheese in the fridge, so I was just missing the 'salad' part.
I am STILL overwhelmed with these proposals. I really didn't devote enough time to them yesterday and I'm running out of time so today I MUST concentrate on getting my thoughts down on paper. Have a staff meeting at 10 and a conference call at 2 and that is my day. Tomorrow I'll be tied up from 10 a.m. til about 3 p.m. so that effectively takes up my day. I am thinking that today we will be making the definite decision regarding postponing the upgrade again. It's likely going to November 4 or 11 but we may pu**** into early December. This whole process is getting OLD. We have had this planned for 2 years, but realistically been postponing since Nov 11 LAST year. It's things beyond our direct control but it's hard to make plans when you don't know when something will happen. Or you think it is going to .. and don't make plans .. and then the weekend is suddenly free. I'm happy about this upcoming postponement because it means we can leave on vacation as scheduled on the 7th instead of having to wait until Monday.
Terry, the porch sounds wonderful. I would love to have a porch, but I'm not willing to put that kind of $$$ into this house. We need to do some serious renovations before we sell in a few years, but I don't see a porch in the works unless we win the lottery ... and ya have to play to win .. and at the moment we are not playing
Tia, I hope Mom gets to feeling better. She really needs that trip to get away and recharge her batteries so to speak. AND .. who is this 'he' who's buying lunch ???
I've sort of started back on the 'walking' routine here. Walked to the Eastport bridge and back on Friday and again yesterday. That is about a 35-40 minute walk. Not at a record setting pace, but still relatively brisk. I have a walking buddy in the office and now that the weather has cooled somewhat we are back on the wagon. I bought a pair of the 'croc' type rubber shoes to keep in my office for walking so I can't use shoes as an excuse. I only have one pair of decent sneakies, and I'm not going to leave them here and I don't want to try to remember to carry them back and forth.
Ok, I've delayed long enough. Time to make the coffee and jump back into those proposals!
Have a great Wednesday all.
Hugs, Mo
Hey Moie -
I can be so stressed/forgetful sometimes, that I've learned to keep duplicates of everything in work. It's amazing, I can be very organized at work, but not at home, where my room looks like my closet barfed and it hasn't seen a dust rag in I don't know how long! The rest of the house is okay, but my room - ick!
Your salad fixings don't include spinach, do they? YIKES!!
I hope proposal time gets resolved for you - it's hard to stay on top of a never-ending project!!! I'm so glad you'll be able to leave when you planned for vacay!!!
Don't get too excited - my friend is my former boss, a 66 year old man who's like a second Dad to me. Believe me, if there was a "HE" I'd be posting billboards! His birthday is my surgiversary date, and we weren't able to get together in August, so this is our combined celebration!!! And, I love his wife almost as much as he does!
I've so got to get back into my exercise, but I'm starting to feel like I did when I was anemic in November, fatigued, etc., but since I'm religious about taking all my vits, I'm hoping it's just from my little unexpected visitor. We'll see. Walk for me, okay?
BTW, Gary's overtime is down - ask Poncho & Lefty's Dad to take away some PTF's, okay? hehehe!!! The less $$$ Gary has, the more $$$ I seem to spend!!!
C YA,
Tia
Hiya Tia
I feel like an idjit for forgetting my vitamins. I have a routine where I brush my teeth then chew the Flintstones. Actually, I am thinking I didn't take them, but then I am not sure. Yesterday I thought I had forgotten them, but then when I retraced my morning in my mind, I remembered that I HAD taken them. So who knows about this a.m.
I've got a colonoscopy coming up in early November and when I was reading the prep material it says to stop vitamins and supplements 7 days prior. I need to talk to the docs to determine if that applies to me and if it will have any 'long term' effect to skip the F/S for a week.
Mo does NOT do spinach! At least not in salads so not to worry I'm a romaine lettuce or iceberg kinda gal. I definitely do not like that 'spring' mix stuff .. it looks like weeds cut down in the median of the interstate.
I'll see what we can do with those pesky PTF's but not sure Mr Mo has any influence.
Ok, enough delaying .. on to my reading project here.
Hugs, Mo
