Good Tuesday Morning Everybody!
Hey Les -
Sorry for you that you were so busy, but aren't the citizens of Essex/Middle River (like me) lucky that you and your co-workers are there?!! Fortunately, I think we only had to call 911 once, and that was when my Dad was barfing, dehydrated and too weak to walk! We have some neighbors, though, who seem to call you all out of sheer boredome!! We call them EBDB's - East Baltimore Dirtballs!!!!
Gotta love those gyn visits - in truth, I'd rather go see my gyn than my dentist!!! No babies for me, either - I prefer to rent rather than own!!! Good job on hitting that personal goal!!! You go, girl!!!!
Take care,
Tia
Good morning!
It's a quiet day in my office today. My co-worker is getting some homework done and I am just making sure I have dotted all the i's and crossed all the t's on my upcoming meetings and travel plans. I am freezing again. It really makes it hard to drin**** water when you are cold. Oh well, I have to make myself drink so I can stay hydrated. My surgeon said that my protein levels are a tad low. That explains the very thin hair! They have improved since my 3 month tests so I am doing better. I am going to start looking for a new hair style. I have to cut my hair due to the extreme thinness and brittle shape it is in. My husband is not happy but I just can't stand the way it looks so fried and dull all the time. I really have to do something to help it. I am not a short hair person but I think that I will go shorter for awhile, just until it begins to look healthy again. Not too short though.
I got up again today at 5:15 to workout. I am on a roll. Today was tough though. I really did not want to get up. But I wouldn't give into the sleepy monster and actually did 30 mins on my lateral thigh trainer. I have to keep going so that I can reach my goals. I am doing the walk from obesity in Silver Spring on the 30th. It should be pretty easy for me to do the 2 miles since I am keeping up with my workouts. When I turned 30 we went to the Grand Canyon. I promised myself that by the time I was 35 I would get in shape to be able to hike down into the canyon and back up. Well, I will be 36 next week. I did not make it by 35 but I am sure that by next summer I'll be more than able to do that hike. I am determined to meet taht goal!
Well, I hope you all continue to have nice peaceful days, even if some are busy.
Hugs, Robin
Hey Robin -
Glad you're having a relatively quiet day - they're a blessing sometimes!! I'm not looking forward to freezing this winter - especially since I have no winter clothes!!! I can't do ice water, Randy doesn't like it. I have to do room temp water, and I can't do plain - has to be Crystal Light. Pouches, pouches, pouches!!!
I understand about the hair - I've been going to the same guy since I was 15, so I guess about 6 years (hehe!!), and once I made the decision to have surgery, he talked me into going short, which I did about a week pre-op. I knew he wouldn't steer my wrong, and he didn't make it boyish, which is what I was afraid of. I swore that if I lost hair, I wouldn't stress, because obviously, that makes it worse. Tell hubby it'll grow back and both of you might find that you like a shorter, more stylish cut. But try not to worry too much about it! Personally, and I'm sure you feel the same, I'd rather be thinner and bald than fatter with fat hair!!!!
Take care! And work on loving you just as you are, cause we love ya!!!!
Tia
