Yes, I've had G&M's also. I love the crabcakes from both. I'm so happy that my system seems to be in agreement with crabs.

Syd, I love Timbuktu's Crabcakes. There is another restaurant near me (G&M's) that the man who now owns Timbuktu used to own. Their crabcakes are very similar. Delicious. I've never had any problem with crabs. When I was on soft food/pureed food, I figured if I could add liquid to it and blend it in the blender it was allowed (less anything with sugar in it). Anyway, glad to hear things are going well for you Take Care, Terry

Hey there everyone! My grandparents lived down the road from G&M and my parents live down the road from Timbuktu. The crab cake recipes used to be the same, they might still be. The people who own Timbuktu just opened a new restaurant in Middle River called By The Docks and it's the same crab cake there. So for those of you on the East side (Essex/Dundalk/White Marsh/Rosedale - me) check the restaurant out. Be warned, you have to call at least a week ahead for reservations if you don't want to wait at LEAST an hour for a table. All the food is wonderful, but i love the cream of crab soup and crab cake. I have to wait a while now though because it's only been five days since my banding. I'm just starting to transition to mushies. Heather

Crab and shrimp are about the only meat/protein sources I can eat without tolerance issues. Still have a tough time with chicken, steak, turkey, ham etc- unless its cut up very small and stewed for a while in a soup or gravy. If I crave anything now- it's crab! Karen
