Good Monday Morning Everybody!
Hey G/F -
You have email! When that scale hits ONDERLAND, I know I'll hear you all the way up here! It'll happen - give it time! Gee, we say that about meeting Mr. Right, too, don't we?
Hope everyone had a great weekend! Mine was BUUUSSSSYYY!! As always, it seems. Since I was off on Friday, Mom & I did some shopping and went to Cracker Barrel for lunch, then some more shopping (more window than anything!!!)
Saturday was some errands, more windows and lunch in Little Italy at Germano's Trattoria, which is across from Sabatino's, and IMHO, much better. Their lunch specials are very reasonably priced and include 1/2 entrees - very WLS friendly! Then on to Vaccaro's for a flavored coffee. Then, and I know you'll find this hard to believe, we LOST the car!!! We were so busy talking and looking at the houses there -I'd love to live there - we took a wrong turn and ended up about 2 blocks out of our way. Not a big deal for me, since walking's not the literal pain it used to be, but it was warm, and Mom's asthma was acting up. Finally found the car, right where I left it!!! Silly Tia! Once we got home, I transcribed four tapes for SEVERAL hours and hit the bed around 11-ish.
I was incredibly tired on Sunday, but got up early to cook. I made a s/f hot milk cake, which is Gary's fave, and made him a Bisquick Impossible Cheeseburger Pie (haven't made an Impossible Pie in years!) I'd forgotten how easy it is, a Bruschetta Chicken Bake from the back of the Stovetop Stuffing box and some bbq'd pork chops. So, Gary and the kids are set for the week! All combined, I don't think it took me more than two hours to assemble/cook - and of course, Gary's happy. Picky Dad didn't like the cheeseburger pie because it had onions in it, so I revamped one for us, added spaghetti sauce and mozz cheese, and he liked it, except for the "soggy" crust! We truly can't win with feeding that man! That's why I always try to make sure there's lunch meat for him. I also made some chicken stir-fry for me and Mom, so we're good for a couple of days. I LOVE to cook/bake - I find it so relaxing, I just get into a zone, but man, am I tired today!!!
AND, I have to work a full week! ICK! What's going on with all of you today?
Hope everyone has a great week - fall starts Saturday - MY FAVE SEASON! I'm already smelling the wood smoke and tasting the punkies!!!!
Tia
Good morning!
Well Terry, I am doing really well with my exercise. I got up early Friday, did 30+ minutes on my lateral thight trainer. Saturday I went to curves and then we went to the Zoo for a company picnic. We walked around there for about 2 hours. Then this morning I again got up at 5:15, did 15 minutes on my bike and then my conditioning exercises. I know that 15 min. doesn't sound like much but with the conditioning exercises I was really sweating. I plan on going walking at lunch and getting back on my bike tonight. I am really feeling it in my legs right now but I love the feeling!! Keep up the good work, Terry. You'll see the scale drop soon!
We really enjoyed the picnic on Saturday. Just me and my husband. It was nice spending the day with him. I was sweating like a pig in a butcher shop before the walk was done. I mean, my hair looked like I had just stepped out of the shower. I hate that. I felt like I was the only one sweating. I wasn't breathing really hard and I wasn't hurting from the walking. I really enjoyed it and my hubby commented on how well I was able to walk and not have to stop and rest AT ALL. It was a really nice compliment. I am down 77 lbs and 57 1/2 inches in 6 months. The only thing that wasn't so good this weekend was on Friday I had my daughter take pictures of me since it was my 6 month anniv. Well, I hated them! I was wearing an outfit that I thought looked really good on me. Actually all it did was show off how small I am up top...and TOTALLY emphasize how wide I still am on the bottom!!!!! It is so very frustrating to be under 200 lbs and still wearing the size pants I do. I get so frustrated when someone tells me that they can really see my loss in my face and top. UGH! I have lost a total of 11 inches in my hips and 12 inches around my butt. (I am about two inches bigger in the hips than my butt) Anyway, on Saturday I had to have a little talk with myself about being mean to myself. I have to accept and learn to love my body shape the way it is. I am ALWAYS gonna be bigger in the bottom. I know this. When I got married nearly 19 years ago I wore a wedding dress that was a size 14 in the top and a 16 in the bottom! This won't change. I can work on it, do the exercises that I know will tighten things up but I can't get rid of this pear shape. So I apologized to myself and forgave myself and am working on loving myself.
I also found a great GoodWill superstore in Owings Mills. Found two pair of black slacks and a teal blazer. I didn't have a lot of time to look around so I am going back soon to find more stuff. They have a lot of nice clothes in there. You just have to have time to really look to find your size.
The Cowboys won yesterday! Sorry folks, we are boys fans. Alas, my Packers lost so it was not a good day for Brett!
It's gonna be a beautiful day today! Get out and enjoy the sunshine and warmth. Fall is gonna be here too quickly for me. It'll be beautiful but I am not crazy about the cold. Looking forward to the color changes though.
Hugs, Robin
Good morning !
I'm unusually alert for a Monday a.m. I'm sure I'll fall asleep this afternoon at my meeting
Busy weekend here too .. lots of walking .. We went to Hershey on Saturday for the big RV show. We timed it to get there Saturday afternoon about 3-ish to take advantage of the 'twilight' (3-8 p.m.) discounted rate. The down side to that was having to park sooooooooooo far away. Caught a shuttle bus to the gate, but then walked back after walking around the show for hours. Yesterday a.m. we were up and back at the show by 9:30 a.m. Because we were early we did better on the parking and were pretty close to the gate. Another full day of walking though. After a while all the RVs start to look the same .. and well . the prices make your eyes glass over. We are not truly 'looking' but we always look. Ours is a 1999 model and has one slide (bump out thingy). There are some cool things that have come out since we got this one in 2002 and we might just find something we can't live without (and that we can afford ) We did look at a leftover 2006 that one of the dealers had there ... it had the floor plan that I like but I didn't like the colors and when he ran the numbers for us, it was more than we were willing to spend (for something that wasn't the right color )
I did buy a 'gas' campfire though. It's a cool little contraption that looks like a campfire but runs off a propane tank. We carry the propane tank for our grill and just need to get a splitter to run the campfire.
Still working on those dang proposals here .. have a meeting sometime this a.m. but we never set a time. I'm really not ready for it.
Have a meeting outside of the office this afternoon from 3-5 and then CRABS for din din after. I'm ready! This is the end of my crabs for the season .. I think unless something just HAPPENS to sneak in.
Hugs, Mo
Terry Good morning... well mid morning ...
Don't worry the scale will move I promise... I exercise like a maniac and the scale never moves, just the normal fluxuating... I don't know what happened, but in my end of summer cut out the carbs that I indulge in at cookouts, etc., the scale is down and the clothes are loose... not complaining but would like to just stay the same...
Have a great day!

Hello...
Had a good weekend myself. My BF took me out to bingo on Friday night (and he HATES bingo), but we ended up having a good time even though we didn't win anything. He has been sick all weekend, so I have been trying to stay out of the house. The last think I need right now is to get sick.
Spent the WHOLE day at the firehouse yesterday, and had a blast. We were really busy. Thankfully, no one was seriously injured or sick...I think they simply wanted rides to the hospital. Then they got upset at US once they got to the hospital and realized it was sooooo busy that they had to sit in the waiting room. Some people I guess....
Well, lots of work to do today. It is payroll day, so I have 100+ employee's paychecks that depend on me. Better get cracking. Have a good Monday!
Leslie
P.S...I am still getting nausous off of the Flintstones and Bariatric Advantage vitamins...any suggestions?
Hey Les -
Is DVR's office telling you to still do chewables? If not, I'd switch to a good "swallowable" type, i.e., Centrum, etc. If you're not sure, give their office a call. I remember when I first came home, I was doing liquid Centrum - - OMG, they were so heinous that I had to turn my head when I opened the bottle so I didn't yak from the smell!!!! Then I tried the Bariatric Advantage - but the grit also made me want to hurl! I also did Tropical Oasis - big $$$$ and still a nasty smell!
Now, I do prenatals - no, I'm not!!!! But I was so fatigued that I thought I would try them, and I do feel better.
HTH,
Tia
