Crofton Support Group Reminder

Just sending one of many support group reminders for those of you who plan to attend on the 21st at the crofton branch library from 6-8 p.m. Also If you know of anyone who is thinking of having it please tell them they are more than welcomed. I have spoken to 2 people who want to come to hear about it and talk to others. I am going to bring light refreshments and wanted some suggestions. Water? Crystal Light? Kelly - I'm so sorry I'm going to miss it! I'm going to be out of town visiting my daughter in Georgia. Is this meeting replacing the one that formerly took place at Family Practice of Crofton? Anyway, will be it be a regular meeting? I'd love to attend each month. Please post and let me know. Thanks very much!

Hi Mary- I don't want to say it is replacing the one that used to be at family practice in crofton but no one has heard anything about ti lately. But if it starts back up again I'm sure we can all come together. Yes i am hoping that it will be a good turn out to have it every month. Although the Library has proir bookings for the meeting room in October and November they said we could sit in the back as long as we didn't get really loud. But I will definitly let you know the next meetings and in october I am going to book for 2007 (thats when the meeting room at the library can be booked for 2007) first come first serve. So I am going to try to make it once a month on the same day. Like which night is good for everyone mon, tues ect and do it like every third tuesday or something like that. I will definitly let you know what goes on at the meeting and update you. Have a great trip to your daughters and talk to you soon. Take Care Kelly

Hi Pat- I'm not sure if the library allows snacks in the meeting room. I know they said light refreshments. I'm not sure if that meant drinks and snacks or just drinks. I will double check with them and let you know. Thank you for doing that. I guess I will see you on Sunday at 1 to pick up those clothes. Thank you again for calling me back they will be helpful to me now. I will call sunday mid morning to make sure that time is ok. Hi Kelly: I live in Annapolis but would love to join you...only one problem, my surgery is the 18th and I really don't think I'll be much for traveling on the 21st...but who knows maybe I will. I am new to this site but really want to get involved. Can you please tell me where, when these meetings are. Thank so much and wish me luck on the 18th!!! I'm so nervous! Michelle in Annapolis.

Hi Michelle welcome to the website. Yeah if you don't feel like you can come then stay home and rest. Are you having open or lapr or getting banded? I had open and for the first few days I was in the hospital. The meeting will be in Crofton. At the Crofton Branch Library on Reidel Road. Are you familiar with Crofton at all? Well Good Luck on Monday. I will be praying for you to have a speedy recovery and get lots of rest. If you cant make this one then there will be another. Take care Kelly

Hi Kelly, I am interested in attending the Crofton support group. I live at Fort Meade and wanted to know if you can give me directions there. I maybe bringing a friend who is in the preparation process for having the surgery. Look forward to meeting you all. By the way, I am 4 weeks post-op and 31lbs thinner! Rose S.

Hi Rose- I am not familiar with the Forte Meade area. But I can email you the address ( just got home from a long day of water arobics and scrapbooking all day) later on Sunday. That is great to bring your friend. I also have a friend thinking of having it and told her to come also. Congratulations on your 31 lbs gone forever. I had my surgery july 10th and at 6 weeks was down 50 lbs. I only weight my self at the doctors so I dont know what I am up to now. I havnt seen a good scale yet. Let me know if you want me to email you the address and maybe mapquest it. Or are you familiar with Crofton at all? Like do you know where Waugh Chapel Shopping center is or Davidsonville road (424). Hi Kelly, I just found out about the Crofton meeting from another member and it looks like she and I will both be attending. So glad there is a meeting closer to where I live and looking forward to meeting other 'locals'. My surgery is coming up FAST so this couldn't be coming at a better time! ~Heather
