Lots better ;)
Hi everyone,
I just wanted to let you know that I am thankful for your advice. I did call my Doc (who was wonderful) and he called in some nausia meds to a pharmacy near my house. It helped a great deal and I am getting the fluids in a lot better now. I was very afriad of becoming dehydrated because the nausia was causing me to not drink nearly as much as I should have been. My fiance and I went for a walk yesterday around the block which did wonders for the gas pains. Today, I am heading to the grocery store to get some stuff for the protein shakes. I feel 100x better than I did and I'm already looking forward to the pureed food stage! lol Sad, I know.
I wanted to thank Carol (Carribean Princess) for coming to visit me in the hospital. She is a inspiration and that was so sweet of her! Sorry we didn't find you a single doctor.... ;)
Have a GREAT Day!
Debbie
Debbie, so glad that your feeling better. Get in what proteins and fluids that you can. Really give it your best shot, and it will get easier the further out you go to get in all required. Don't stress about it, just do your whole-hearted best. Keep the positive attitude and I look forward to more posts.

Hi Debbie, I am so glad you are feeling better. Don't stress about the protein, just really push the liquids. I could only do about 1/4 cup of a shake every 4 hours or so. After I got out of the hosp the second time I was just ready to drink water. In another few weeks you'll be getting in the protein with no problems. There is some kind of protein syrup that tastes a lot like kool-aid but it has a lot of protein. It comes in these tubes, already mixed and you can dilute it to keep it from being so syrupy. I can't remember the name of it right now. I'll try to find out and let you know. That might help since it'll be like drinking and yet have protein.
Anyway, you'll be getting better and better every day!
Hugs, Robin
