Where are all The Support Groups being Held???
Hi to everyone this morning on the Maryland Board. I am interested in getting information together about the times and locations of all of the know support groups being held in and around the Greater Baltimore Area. Would you be so kind as to help me out?
I need the following information about known support groups.
Meeting Dates
Time
Location
Name of the Facilitator
A brief description of the support group
Thanks in advance - this way I can make contact - visit the groups and hook-up other pre-post op people with a group closest to them.
If you know of any informal groups --- please tell me about those tooo.
Thanks
Debra
Debra,
The St. Agnes Support Group meets the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month. 6:00pm is for Post Ops, 7:00pm is General Meeting. The meetings are held in the Alagia Auditorium at St. Agnes Hospital (Wilkens and Caton Avenues)
The Facilitator is Cathy Carr
They usually have a newsletter that contains information/tips and and then there is a question/answer period.
I know that they also dedicate at least one of the four sessions each month to Lap Banding.

This is a Support Group for pre and post op patients of Upper Chesapeake Bariatric, however we welcome those pre and post op patients from other areas/surgeons as well. We generally offer support, guidance, and often have speakers on bariatric topics like plastic surgery after weight loss, nutrition (before and after WLS), etc.
Sinai Post Op is 3rd Wed (sometimes Tuesday) of each month. 6:00 - 7:30pM in Zaimoski (sp?) Auditorium. You can check out the website www.lifebridgehealth.org and click on Sinai and it's on the main page.

Johns Hopkins Bayview post op is 2nd Tuesday of each month in the Pavillion Conference Room. Begins at 5:30 p.m. It's a mix of pre-op and post-op, although the post-op past 1 year have a separate meeting the third Tuesday of the month, and the pre-op have an informational meeting once per month. Would love to see you there!
P.S. I'm looking for info on a Pasadena support group since I feel like going more often would be of benefit to me. Any information, please let me know by post. Thanks much!
