It is Official - Baltimore Contact Group Leader

Hey Guys it is Official --- I have been waiting and now I am official. I am one of Obesityhelp.com 's Contact Group Leaders for the Baltimore area. I just received my information whi*****ludes my notification. If I can be of any help to any of you living in the greater Baltimore area, please let me know. If you have any ideas for any get togethers and/or activities - drop me a line. I would like to get this "show on the road". Congrats Debra! A group of us are planning to get together this Sunday for a crab feast of sorts (I don't personally pick crabs, so I'll be getting something else off of the menu). We're meeting at BlueFins on Eastern Ave. near Back River. I've never been there by Tia swears by their crabs. I don't think we ever nailed down a time, but I'm guessing 12-12:30ish. Hi Debra, That is great. I have been approved for surgery and hope to schedule it for January. I was just wondering if there are any support group meetings on the Eastern Shore that would meet on a Monday. That is the only day I could attend. If not do you have any other suggestions for me? Hi Donna - First of all congradulations for your courage and decission to undergo WLS. My thoughts and prayers go out to you. As for a support group on the Eastern Shore --- well I don't know of one. Most come to one of the support groups in Baltimore. I know my surgeon holds a support group on the Second Wednesday of every month at GBMC - time 7 p.m. All all welcome to attend. I will not be able to attend the September one as I have a back-to -school night with parents at my school. I would however meet you in October if you would like to connect. For that matter maybe we could get a support group going on the Eastern Shore. I will put feelers out === Best Wishes -keep me posted on your progress. What is your date and at what hospital> Debra

Debra, My Lap Band date is next Thursday 9/14. I arrive at Johns Hopkins Bayview at 7am and am scheduled for surgery at 9am. Should be home by the next morning sometime. Heather Rosedale, MD
